Protect Trump yard sign quote: Anyone know how to rig up a trump sign with electricity?
Are you telling us you're too stupid to electrify a sign with metal parts? Jesus christ dude
You speak like the simpleton who was once a victim of an electrified sign, or maybe you was tha baw who peed on the electric fence.

That’s weird. Every time I’ve touched an electric fence, I’ve been shocked if it’s on.
Shoes are magic.

insulators are "magic" if you have no knowledge of electrical theory....
I always wear thick, rubber-soled work boots when fooling with electric fencing. Trust me, it will still give you a good jolt unless you are very, very careful.

No but I can refer you to a good attorney

A perfectly clean pair of brand new rubber boots might protect you for a few minutes, until they get a little bit dirty. All it takes is a small amount of ionized material on the boots, and they will complete the circuit to the ground. It only takes a small amount of ionized material, so probably, if you put those boots on and take a few steps through grass, that's enough to do the trick.

solder small barbed fishhooks on the back like a man. Let that sign catch them.

Cattle hooves are a good insulator btw.
Good link...says exactly what I have said. Thank you. I notice it does not mention the transformer previously mentioned. Strange that.
"Cow hooves are good insulators" WOW. That's why linemen wear cow hoof gloves instead of rubber....much to he chagrine of cows and delight of rubber tress....

You need gauze pads, ball-bearings and 3 in one oil

It really isn't theory any longer, any more than gravity is. But you say you do not get shocked EVERYTIME you are mucking about with your fence with boots on and being careful. Strange that, given our resident SME explaining the completion of a circuit at the transformer.

Someone has never worked with electric fencing
Apparently most of the posters who have responded have not. I, on the other hand, have designed and installed energized fencing for the control of human beings...either keeping them inside somewhere or out of somewhere, depending on what the customer's needs are. Most of these have been on military bases but some have also been on state and local jails and prisons. It would not matter, however, if it was somebody wanting to protect a yard sign, the design would be basically the same...somehow a person would touch an energized conductor and complete a circuit to ground. The latter is required....without the latter the person would never know a sign, a fence, a power line or a cow was energized.

Dry, sandy or pumice soil is a poor conductor of electric current, so it is a good idea to add an ground (negative) wire into the fence. The animal must touch both a hot wire and ground wire to feel an effective shock.
Wear any shoes you want GermanDawg.
Now I need to run out and grab some uber efficient hoof conductors.

Cling to it, just like the fence!
Still waiting on that schematic, Edison. Can't find one and don't know how to draw one, huh? Here's a hint....no one knows how to draw the schematic you suggested because it ain't gonna work....but again, produce that schematic and you will have proven your point. Good Luck....
