Which drugs would you like to see remain criminal to possess for personal use?
So, "recreational" use? I'm really only on board for cannabis.
Anything else, however much the libertarian in me wants to just open the doors and let the chips fall where they may, needs to be - at the very least - medically supervised. X, meth, coke, other stimulants - flat out dangerous. Benzos, opioids, etc., I'm a little more open to, because, while dangerous, a little more safety margin exists with these.
But, we're talking about a "deal" - a deal is something we don't already have (we have the current gun laws, and cannabis legalization is moving slowly but surely across the land.)
So, I don't deal for what I already have.

I don't use any drugs that are illegal. You have the brains of a basic bitch.

I’m down for leaving it to democratic processes.
If the votes are there to decriminalize it, then cool.
If not, and certain states actually have the votes, then decriminalize it by state.
Democracy in action.

As long as that's clear you got a deal.
No charges for capping a druggie in the commission of a crime.
No leniency in sentencing on the basis that the perp was "impaired".

You get to keep your current gun rights with no more restrictions so long as drug use is no longer a criminal activity.
Will current background checks still stand or would it be a free-for-all in getting a firearm?
This could get messy in a hurry. Some drugged out methhead seeing apparitions and starts to shoot indiscriminately would be an obvious problem. Hell, sober people do it.
I can't see any way to make this work, but I'm willing to listen how it could.

This has always been my stance. End the war on drugs, lay off gun control.

I had no idea this is where this was going to go - I was responding to the "deal" proposal.
Legalized drugs for legalized guns. Guns are already legalized. So, I offered a counter proposal.
NOW you want to pivot to a discussion about the merits of legalization.
And the point about opioids - I guess I was more talking about the acute/inexperienced situation - without more intensive research, my supposition that for the new and uninitiated, it is easier to overdo it on the powerful stimulants than the depressants. Now, over the long haul, as your chart indicates, more folks become dependent on opioids and derivatives, including heroin, morphine, methadone, etc.
The thing that happens with these drugs, rather than overdosing "recreationally" - these are often long-term users who have a certain dose to get "right" - these are your dope sick folks - and then their tolerance drops (or they get some adulterated shite) and they OD, usually alone, and die.
Most people aren't doing coke or meth alone - those are party/sex drugs, like X, and an overdose then is usually caught and they get much earlier intervention/treatment.
Long-term it is far more dangerous to your health to use the opioids - short-term, stimulants probably more dangerous. But you're the one talking about opening the floodgates, unregulated, so I don't see what's so funny.
That's why I said, at a minimum, medical supervision,

There would be a lot less crime. Simple economics.
