With Ireland's history with the IRA and their struggle against the British, the Troubles, I see the Irish taking a stand and not putting up with it.
If I'm a Muslim in Ireland I'm getting out of there because this will not end well for them. The Irish have no problem using violence to solve a problem.

I don't know. Sadly, I think the modern IRA - or what's left of it - is more Leftist than Nationalist. They probably see the attackers and invaders as victims of historic oppression and colonial exploitation.
