Spicer is the perfect spokesperson for this joke of an administration.

Spicer is correct. The Germans did not use chemical weapons in WWIl. As for the gas they used on he Jews, that was nothing but an industrial grade pesticide that could be bought at any general store at that time.

Comparing Zyklon B to something like Taubin, Soman, or Sarin is like comparing Raid to VX nerve agent.

(Downvote it all you want. I'm still right from a factual standpoint.)

(And It doesn't lessen the horrible crime of murdering 6 million Jews to correctly say Hitler killed them with an industrial strength pesticide instead of actual chemical weapons. What does trivialize this crime though is to use Spicer's words as a political bludgeon to try and get some licks in on President Trump)

What does that matter here? What Spicer said was correct. Hitler did not use chemical weapons.

Pesticides =/= chemical weapons

He also said something to the effect that he thought he knew what Spicer really meant.

I believe Spicer just made a mistake. And it is not a crisis.

I always thought he projected nervousness, irritability, and general discomfort up there. He's had some good moments answering questions, but he's pretty bad at just extemporaneously putting points across. Definitely the worst Pres Secretary that I remember. Apparently one of Clinton's early ones was bad, but I don't specifically remember that (I was like 9-10). Bush and Obama never had a bad one.

Yes. Leaders are ultimately responsible for their subordinates. The lack of responsibility we hold the people at the top of our bureaucratic structures is alarming.

Les Miles was fired for his dumbass decisions. You sure you want to use that comparison anyways? Les Miles and Donald Trump?

I understand the difference but come on, this is a retarded thing walk right into.

Spicer deserves all the shite coming his way for being that bad at his job.

Weapon - a thing designed or used for inflicting bodily harm or physical damage.

Chemical - a compound or substance that has been purified or prepared, especially artificially.

I know that semantics are probably really difficult for you, but dude...

When you go out in your yard and pour poison on an ant hill, in your mind are you using a weapon of mass destruction?

BTW, I might buy all this righteous indignation about what Spicer said if I likewise saw at least the same level of outrage over the lie Susan Rice was caught in when she claimed they had "got all the chemical weapons out of Syria".

This.

If you ever find yourself in front of the press trying to explain your executive's position on an issue and it occurs to you to use some sort of Hitler analogy - JUST frickING DON'T.

The word "Hitler" should just NEVER pass through a press secretary's lips when addressing the media.

They're fricking ants...which is precisely the mindset Hitler was in when he decided to use a pesticide that includes deadly chemicals via a chamber that dispersed said deadly chemicals to kill humans. Or, as Spicer called them, "Holocaust Centers"

How did Spicer get the job anyway? How did he go from being easter bunny during the bush presidency to press secretary?
