I am a WW2 history buff but admittedly was not to knowledgeable about Kerch.
Just read Wiki and no mention of poison gas.
Just FYI. Figured they would have mentioned it if so.
BTW, both my grandfathers were Army Air Corp in WW11 fighting the frickin "progressive" Nazi's! So don't even suggest I am defending that A-Hole by questioning your claims of gas being used by that artist turned community organizer turned Tyrant Adolph!

After holding out for approximately three months, "poison gas was released into the tunnels, killing all but a few score of the Soviet defenders."[41] Thousands of those killed around Adzhimushk were documented to have been killed by asphyxiation from gas.[40]
