I concur, baw. The sooner media cooperates and starts calling it the Gulf of Fourchon, the better.

Unicorn facts will be invented by the time any infrastructure is in place to take Atlantic hydrocarbons to production.

Agreed.

Long-term, this is a bad idea.

No one is looking to drill much offshore right now with the Saudis increasing production month over month (at Trump’s request).

Oil is at what? 57 a barrel. Louisiana is fricked unless oil gets over 100.

We haven't even tapped the Ultra Ultra deepwater here in the gulf. Right now, ~10,500' of water is our max. The latest generation drillship, that I'm on, is rated for 12,000' of water. There's 4K more feet in water to go. No need to explore heavily on either coast right now.

Yeah but the east and west coasts may be shallower and cheaper to extract depending on location. Be another boom like the shelf was in the gulf.

Gavin isn’t gonna like that.

I doubt Florida is going to like it either. Let’s start with the MAGA state first.

So Buyden killing the Keystone XL pipeline ruined our chances to get oil in the US back to being the 2nd largest exporter in the world,

Somebody keep me strait but Trump 1.0 was killing it in the oil and gas world!!
