Agree. I was just expressing surprise at the persistence of such goober positions here.
As I said, all of the MAGA people I know in real life are consistently for the application of the Constitution.
I know. I'm naive.

quote:Right. That and common sense is obviously the hope behind a new go at birthright elimination.
I already said that language isn't the best.
Perhaps founders' rationale for the POTUS birth qualification could reinforce the conceptual stupidity of birth tourism.
E.g., A pregnant woman from Communist China sneaks into the US, drops spawn on US soil, then folds tent and returns to China with her kid. The kid is indoctrinated there, groomed for US politics, given a huge war chest and sent back 30yrs later to the US in a very favorable Congressional district. Eventually he is a POTUS contender advertising himself at the prototypical American dream. Clearly suboptimal.

Let's go back to the beginning of this digression.

It's not precedent. It's a footnote.

Well, the 14A was written long after they had all died, FWIW.

Trump will make it happen....it may take more than one effort, but he will make the topic clear to all. He is right!

There is not a lot of difference between MAGA and Progressivism. Both are activist and collective.
This may be your dumbest comment to date.
MAGA opposes literally every major progressive policy you stupid fricking fricker.
Literal dumbass.

"The Founders" are irrelevant at that point.

He was implying precedent is meaningless because it can be changed.
He ignored the genesis of this digression, which was a poster claiming there wasn't a precedent

So the rationale for construct becomes """irrelevant""" when the rationalizer dies?
In that case, as everyone involved w/ US v Ark is long deceased, the rationale for the 1898 birthright ruling vaporized with them?

When a completely new paradigm takes over.
Like if we repealed the first amendment. It would matter not what the authors of the first amendment thought about it, moving forward.

Only if a new controlling Constitutional amendment was created to change the paradigm

“We must make sure that those judged to pose a grave risk to public safety do not have access to firearms and that if they do, those firearms can be taken through rapid due process,” Trump said in televised remarks from the White House on Monday morning. “That is why I have called for red flag laws, also known as extreme risk protection orders.”

Trump has outlined how he plans to use tariffs as a tool to stop us from being abused and taken advantage of by other countries. At least be honest.

MAHA
How is making America healthy a progressive ideology? Our food and pharma industries have caused immense harm to our population over the past 50 or so years.
