FEMA adds an unnecessary layer and cost to the response of any disaster…. It is terribly inefficient and wrought with waste…
Provide the funding to the States, let them run their programs and fund disaster response/mitigation when it happens…

I was in the national guard for 10 years and worked plenty of hurricanes and floods. I don’t think I’ve ever seen an actual FEMA person. If their job is simply to pass out money to affected states it seems to me you could have an office of about 15 guys sending out the checks.

So the stares are going to take over FEMA ? Louisiana is going to distribute the money to who is in need from a disaster . Get ready for the circle jerk, bribes, corruption I will apply for the position leading the program why not .

executive orders are such bullshite most the time. It's just a stupid way to get around the actual process of creating laws. As someone else mentioned the left will just undo it.

I didnt really have that much issue with fema other than its easy to defraud the federal government on this shite.
But finding out refugees from disaster or climate disaster areas get shelter assistance is the final straw. Kill it.

Fema gave more money to the migrant shelter program than they did to Lake Charles for Laura.
In reality people in Lake Charles got more money from sba than they did fema.
