Where are the current supply chain chokepoints caused by bridge weight restrictions?

This was my first thought

The seeming assumption that normal people will just gloss over THE MOST OBVIOUS QUESTION in so many of these goofy issued statements is just so incredibly insulting to me.

Then there will be less gas taxes collected to keep those roads functionable.

Brilliant thinking there Joe.

I have a relative who is a civil engineer working for the state. Specifically, on bridges. There are already a lot of bridges in this state that are in bad shape and aren't being fixed because of lack of funds/ prioritizing. This is a very, very bad idea.

I'm not a structural engineer but it seems as if removing weight restrictions on bridges is a bit negligent.

Weight restrictions are a social construct created by the patriarchy. It has since been banned in the infrastructure bill.

We need to eliminate the oppressive height restrictions on roads and bridges as well. The transportation system will open right up.

Maybe he wants bridges to collapse so he can get a bridge bill passed?

Like the I-10 bridge here in Lake Charles ? This Pudknocker is dangerous. Trying to get us into shooting war with Russia and people having to put steaks and crab meat on layaway , 401 ks crashing today. The Secret service needs to lock him in his basement in Delaware, he is a threat to the Citizens of the Great Country.

That's the one at the top of the list. I'm always nervous to drive over it to visit relatives in LC.
