Nuclear please.
The reason we don’t have this everywhere now is because these crazies that want “clean energy” fought against nuclear years ago. And when you bring it up to them again as an option, they still think nuclear plants would be the built the same with the same technology as they were in the 1960s.

You don’t know the game yet?
Democrats make outlandish and unrealistic claims about what they want to do which make them seem like bold champions of the people. When they inevitably fail they just blame everything on republicans.

There's too much risk in nuclear
If that were the case why would we have any operating plants at all? I don't think you understand the risks at all

No way even the most well-constructed nuclear power plants can wage a fair fight vs supersonic jets.
The Concorde has been gone for 20 years.

Yes.

This person works for the power company… personally never worked on a solar farm. Either way, we have plants we spent millions probably more on Scrubbers for the coal plants and now we want to get rid of them. Also was told Coal is regulated how much the companies can charge. Wind, solar, maybe gas are not.

It’s amazing that an “opinion” piece by a Trump campaign advisor gets so many nods anywhere. This is a fake “scare you” article from the Trump camp. Anyone gullible enough to believe it always gets what they deserve.

And I guess Reuters, of all agencies, is in on it too huh?
Non opinion if you would like.
A leftist saying a word about “scare you” articles.
Back to your programming. Remember. Knee bent head bowed.

What do you think will happen with the government mandating switching many items to electric in a short time?
What do you think will occur?

Utility scale solar farms are more cost effective than building new coal fired plants.

Time to go all out with EVs though.
Why do people put up with and elect such incredible lunacy? Why are people so incredibly stupid?????

I'd rather they build a coal plant locally than massive solar farms.

And if course you can't justify why you hold this opinion

You say that as if all coal plants produce the exact same amount of electricity. It would certainly take a lot of land. Thankfully we have a lot of land that is not being utilized in areas where solar arrays make sense.

OF course I can. Massive solar farms here would destroy the one thing people come here for, scenery. Plus, its a rainforest, rarely get sun.
It would mar the land worse than clear cut logging.

Do you think coal plants look great or something? I've actually worked at coal plants. They aren't the Taj Mahal.

Can be tucked in one of our little valleys and cant be seen from the road.
Try that with solar in a rainforest, chief.

Obviously solar doesn't make sense everywhere. I didn't know you lived in a rain forest now. Thought you were in Alaska.
