I think he tried to play both sides of the GOP fence.
He is denying this claim, but.......
He goes on to say he will be elevating the investigation from the subcommittee level to the full committee level — thereby giving it full subpoena authority.

I watched him about a week ago on a news channel saying how their backs are against the wall and they must pass the 1545 page omnibus bill to clean the slate for Trump.
