What investments have been made into it to accommodate population growth and higher demand for electricity with t xhnology and business?

The bigger problem is it's warmer in alot of these states that are freezing right now, most probably have electric heat, which is hugely expensive.

Did they say it was from the grid being overloaded?
Just curious.

Wait til EVs are everywhere....blackouts will be regular.

It takes massive amount of amperage to charge large batteries. Your power bill will increase bigly.
And the power will still come from the all-hated hydrocarbons!

Progeressives are just plain stupid!

Entergy just sent a notice on my phone asking folks to turn things off and not use big draw items to prevent periodic power outages.

Go get some batteries. Government says it’s the way to live. (They will not live that way, though).

Hopefully you’ll get your power back soon.

Pair it with solar and it’s a good way to be free of shitty utilities. Plus you’ll get a tax rebate.

I’m not gonna say what should be done to every fricking liberal idiot that thinks shutting down fossil fuels is a good idea but it involves firing a projectile

Heard also you can hook up one of those F-150 trucks into your panel on your house. Just hope it doesn’t run out of gasoline. You’re screwed after that. I know electricity and power. Solar or EV cars are not the way to go.

There are two major issues i see in the us power grid.

1. Supply- we need more juice or ability to scale up more juice. Nuclear is only clear realistic option long term at this point.
2. Transport ability- we're gonna need a lot more, larger power lines in place to move around all that new energy we create to where it's needed.

Gotta make sure those coal plants have enough electricity to charge the “green” car batteries
