Like that would stop them. What is at play here is the overturning of Humphrey around 1935 in terms of being able to fire guys like Powell and Fed governors. Trump wants to control the Fed's role in monetary policy and setting of interest rates across the board.
Not sure that a guy like Bessent would endorse something like that though....don't think Lutnick would be wild about it either
