Yea, the whole push to label the medication as some sort of death drug was kind of a tell.

Never seen anything like the response in my life. Visceral, irrational and deep founded hate. For a drug that our grandfathers were issued in WW2.

Same reaction from my proggy SIL about it. My wife (her sister) is still perplexed by her reaction to the video and more so to HCQ.

It’s definitely TDS.

He's actually lost money since being elected. Let's compare that to the politicians you support that have made millions in office, shall we?

I have held a clinical position in hospitals across the USA for 3 decades. Reading studies with a critical eye has been part of my job. Study methods and statistics in particular are hugely important to reach sound conclusions. You are part of the problem.

I have loved my job until this mess. The interface of politics and medicine has driven my decision to retire early. Next year I will be on a beach in Panama. good luck to idiots like you.

ETA: just got off a telemedicine consult with our ID doc on use of Remdesivir on an ICU patient. That is what I will miss, but it no longer worth the frustrations caused by you and your tribe. You tie our hands with mishandled data. My final thought for you: EABOD.

It doesn’t matter. He read one misleading study so now you’re all idiots for disagreeing with him because he’s smaht and you’re not!

He should come back and take his medicine but he won’t... Kyle is brainwashed with TDS. One of those smile-for-pictures-on-your-own-with-open-mouth-soyboys. Facts don’t matter, just feelings.

ETA they’re evil. They want Americans dead because it makes Trump look bad. This has been proven time and time again. TDS is much more dangerous than COVID. He won’t watch this press conference because THEY don’t want him to and he’s a good little useful idiot Facebook, Google/YouTube, Twitter Censor Viral Video of Doctors’ Capitol Hill Coronavirus Press Conference

Yeah. Obviously she's not the only doctor in attendance but it's a little hard to see her as credible based on some of her other, um, claims.

I'll see if there is video out there showing some of the other doctors speaking.

I don't know if there are financial connections or not directly to him; however, he did say that:

quote:

the drug would be the new “standard of care.”

This was two weeks after Gilead changed the end point of their study looking at the drug. Part of the change was removing "death" as an endpoint they examined.

Weird, right? Why would the "standard of care" drug not be concerned about death as a primary endpoint?

quote:

Instead of counting how many people taking the drug were kept alive on ventilators or died, among other measures, the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases said it would judge the drug primarily on a different outcome: how long it took surviving patients to recover.

Quotes from The Washington Post.

If she has had 350 patients and all treated with HCQ and Zinc and all have recovered even those with comorbitities do her previous “claims” factor into the FACT that this particular claim is true? I tend to focus on relevant facts, not details that have nothing to do with the current claim. The only thing that we need to know for sure is that she has cured over 350 patients with HCQ and Zinc. If that is true, what do her previous claims matter? What does discrediting this claim based on something having nothing to do with this claim prove?

Was the RECOVERY trial the one where they gave the patients 2 or 3 or more times the usual dosage of HCQ in the trial?

There have been a few instances where it's clear the studies thought HCQ was another drug (hydroxyquinine?).

Yeaaaah. And if some of her claims are waaaay the frick out there, I'm not just going to take her at her word on the 350 claim. That's just me. You do you.

Again, I'm not discounting the possibility but skepticism is warranted given the history. Frankly, that's not an unreasonable response.

That have yet to be established as facts. Minor detail.

All I could find on RECOVERY trial: they compared azithromycin, low dose dexamethasone, Tocilizumab, and convalescent plasma.

Evidence of bull shite can be found in the study where the results were RETRACTED by the Lancet for flawed study design.

Oops, we screwed up: full text article with RETRACTED printed over in red letters

How did this piece make it past peer review. In the conclusions it states where there might be "problems" with the study.

That's one of two retracted studies, the other being in NEJM, that used completely fabricated data from company called Surgisphere.

People don't listen to this guy. He is spreading disinformation and attempting to suppress good information on HCQ. If you have friends or family members that unfortunately come down with COVID please find a doctor early that will prescribe the life saving regiment of HCQ/Az/Zn.

Don't listen to these evil people like kyle that want to perpetuate this virus until November 3rd.

They discredit her because she is a black female African doctor with an accent. But all the white western trained doctors standing behind her had similar experiences treating CV patients with HCQ.

The concerted effort of liberal progressives to, not just downplay effectiveness, but rather to totally discredit the drug speaks volumes. The usual downvoters are here illustrating OMB.

I agree with Jorts to a degree in terms of “consider the source.” However, the testimonials are not limited to this one doctor (no matter how odd her background).

For the others citing discredited studies with the “that drug is deadly” mantra, they are either grossly uninformed or moronic. I say this a someone that took the drug for malaria.

Arguing with someone with decades in the field clearly illustrates a disconnect from common sense.

This whole discussion centers around politics, not practical application.

I will say this, the tenacity of the OMB crew is impressive. They truly hate the man.
