Poor kid in landing gear.

The story is confusing - they say they found remains in the landing gear when the plane landed but they also say he was one of the bodies seen falling from the plane after takeoff. I realize the remains they are referring to could be partial remains but it seems like that would take longer to identify.
I was thinking this was the body shown trapped in the plane while it was in flight, but that wouldn’t line up with the family saying he was one of the bodies seen falling upon takeoff

Never good when anyone that young dies but at least it saved him from a career playing soccer. That's almost as bad as being captured by the Taliban.

Whoever he was, he was desperate enough to try and hang onto a plane that was taking off just to avoid what was waiting for him if he stayed on the ground.
I feel that is what we should be thinking about, the amount of fear and panic that these people were feeling at that moment that they held on to the outside of a plane just to get away from what they knew was going to happen to them if they stayed. Just like those Americans that jumped from the World Trade Towers.

I can’t imagine reading this story (even if it does leave a few questions) and thinking, “you know what! I’m going to make a joke about this kid tragically dying so some other losers on a website will think I’m edgy.” Pathetic.

My guess is the retracting gear cut a few pieces off.
