Republicans are drastically underrepresented in polls, IMO. Think about it. Right now, given everything that is happening to Trump supporters, would you tell a random person over the phone claiming to be a pollster that you plan on voting for Trump?

One of the factors in the absurd skewing of the loony polls is that many people won't tell some stranger on the phone their true intentions. With all of the trouble going on, the threats and the MSM's shaming of all things Trump, this should be no surprise.
The LaTimes/USC poll had it dead on in 2016. One thing they did was to ask the pool of poll participants who they thought their neighbor was going to vote for. That's kind of like saying "I'm asking for a friend." It worked.

The 2016 polls were off by way more than 3 points in '16. To pick a few states that were 3% and act like that was the norm is intentionally misleading.
FWIW, the only poll that got it right was a poll jointly done by The L.A. Times and UCLA.

If Johnson isn't running, then those voters who aren't hardcore libertarians will vote one of two ways:
1. Trump
2. Not vote at all.

nate silver is an idiot, he thinks that he can look multiple polls and make predictions based on those polls. it's literally like licking your finger and putting it in the wind. understand he's not a pollster, he's an odd's maker.
he got it right in 2008 and 2012, anyone could have predicted those outcomes, he got it so wrong in 2016 that he left politics and went back to sports.
his final prediction for 2016 was clinton with an 81% chance of winning with 329 electoral votes to 209 for trump literally the opposite of what happened.
all polls right now are being over weighted democrats, blacks and women.
