The problem for DeSantis, and I say this as a big supporter of his, is that JD is now stacking bona fides in a Republican Party that is still infested with undercover RINO's and weak spined charlatans who can be manipulated and influenced by deep state actors and globalists. This makes Vance a known commodity and one that also has the it factor to boot.

I think in a presidential race right now I'd have to go with Vance over DeSantis and that's not where I stood 6 months ago, even as someone who liked JD a lot in the Senate already.

I agree with this. Vance is deep in the weeds of postlib conservative thought and is pushing the envelope every chance he gets.

I could see a situation in two years when we need an action guy/manager more so than a thought/pushing boundaries guy, but TBD. Personally, I want whoever can shift the window most in that office, and right now I think that is Vance.

That said, I think people forget how on an island DeSantis was in boldly opposing woke stuff with no institutional support, threatening to defy the federal government, etc. He forced Trump to the right on all the woke/DEI stuff. But I think Vance has continued/captured that and more right now, especially if DeSantis wastes time fighting wars for Casey DeSantis, assuming that's a real thing.

DeSantis needs to run for the Senate, he's a great Governor and would be a great Senator for Florida.

There wouldn't be a single holdout among those guys if Trump backed Ron and Vance didn't change a thing. They know it, yet they're furious at you for saying it.

Is there a side by side photo that doesn’t have their jowl’s airbrushed out?

I don't care who Trump endorses. JD Vance has a generational intellect and is, in my humble opinion, the closest Presidential candidate to Pat Buchanan in terms of economic and foreign policy.

Living in FL amd being a big RD supporter I cannot state enough how impressed I am with Vance.

He has done more since 1/20 than any VP I can recall in the last 30 years.

Assuming this administration stays the course and no huge blow ups, given his intellect and speaking ability he has to be the front runner for 28.

JD is the clear front runner but Trump has a long history have having fall outs with those around him.

What are you implying here? You think MAGA support would fall off for Vance if Trump decided he didn't like him and made up a derogatory nickname for him?

Surely not.

DeSantis really screwed himself by listening to the Globalists that Trump was going to be convicted.

Had he played ball, this poll is a lot closer.

Florida First Lady Casey DeSantis leaned on the wisdom of a baseball legend when asked if she plans to run for governor in 2026.

“To quote the late, great Yogi Berra, ‘When you come to a fork in the road, take it,’” she told reporters at a press conference in Miami before turning the podium over to her husband.

"You guys can read into that what you want," Gov. Ron DeSantis said, adding "I've had people coming up to me for years, begging to get her into the fray."

So humble....They don't GAF about going against Byron Donalds, already Trump endorsed.

Why not move Jeb's son to Fla to run? Would Ronbots vote for Jeb's son? Just curious...

Why should they? He shouldn't GAF about them either.

This loyalty illusion some of you have is freaking weird.

Oh of course not. That would imply this board absolutely fawned over Desantis like teenage girls until Trump said some mean things about him. Would surely never happen.
