They forgot to mention these "special" annual subscriptions are $70,000 a pop. That's not a typo.

Can you imagine if under the Trump admin they discovered tax payer monies going to buy "special" fox news subscriptions for $70k and over $30 million in 4 years?

What if people with USAID purchased a couple of subscriptions themselves?

Fungible!

I've seen one of these non-profits that raked in over $20 million from USAID, with a massive executive team all making $200k+, say, "Salaries are not paid for with grant funds," and the shitlibs eat it up.

Even if you say that Trump's admin is wrong and Politico is not being paid off, this is still the discovery of a colossal waste of taxpayer dollars which is the entire purpose of DOGE. Nothing Politico is producing is worth a subscription in the upper four figures. And there is nothing they are providing that is so essential to the function of our government that taxpayers should be paying for it. You are not seeing the forest for the trees.

I agree with you. Never argued otherwise.

Uhh you were comparing government employees having a left wing biased news outlet subscription to attorneys using west law. And stating it’s no issue… just a (taxpayer) expense for employees to have their biased news.

Jesus...you can't follow anything. I used Westlaw as an example to show how subscriptions can cost thousands when you have numerous users on the same subscription.

The value of this journalism is clear, as evidenced by our subscription re-enlistment rates.
