(CNN/Meredith) -- A Florida police union is urging Miami Dolphins ticket holders to return their tickets after members of the team knelt during the National Anthem to protest police brutality, among other racial and social issues.

The Broward County Police Benevolent Association (BCPBA) said Friday it would end its discount ticketing program for members after the protests Thursday night, when Dolphins wide receivers Kenny Stills and Albert Wilson knelt during the National Anthem ahead of their game against Tampa Bay, according to the Miami Herald. Dolphins defensive end Robert Quinn raised also his fist during "The Star-Spangled Banner," according to CNN affiliate WTVJ-TV.

SIAP.

This ratchets the National Anthem debate up another notch. Looks like some of the cops have had enough.

Everyone hoping that this year was going to be less dramatic, better think again.

The players are cutting their noses off to spite their face.

It's going to blow up on then miserably. At the next collective bargaining agreement when their salaries are cut due to plummeting ticket sales and profits and it will be beautiful to watch.

Police officers simply need to quit providing security for these games. Let the owners hire Lofton Staffing Services instead.

The NFL 'issue' is essentially a metaphor for the whole 'racism' narrative being employed by the Progressive/Global Authoritarian Socialist in order to throw out the Constitution and implement their "fundamental change".

As the NFL is (was) the most high-profile example of positive Black/White relations (Sports went a long way to Racial healing in this non-Racist Nation; note the all White Stands wildly cheering for Tiger Woods to win the golf Open yesterday), it is ground zero for the 'debate'.

This ain't going away; there will be a ton of 'Threads' on this Board, and Trump will keep it in the public eye...responsibly so, that the Fascist Opposition may be exposed.

That said, most of these protesting Players are just dupes, and/or emotionally-sensitive to their 'Hood', and the suffering therein. They ought to educate themselves, and get on board with fixing the problems.

The left wing media is on their side and encouraging them. The silly bastards actually believe the public is on their side.

Kneelers are supporting BLACK Lives Matter (don’t say ALL Lives Matter because they will violently correct you!) with unpatriotic demonstrations.

They support BS like “hands up-don’t shoot” and the “gentle giant” who actually attacked a good cop! Ferguson is better off without Michael Brown, but poorer from losing a great cop like Wilson that was forced out by BLM and Obama’s DOJ.

This is what happens when the NFL decides to take political stances.

There is a simple solution to this BS and it would fix the problem instantly. The very minute a player takes a knee the police should walk out of the stadium and leave these players with no security. Let the fans who go and watch this BS also have to worry about themselves.

Those salaries are largely driven by television contracts, not ticket sales...which in turn are driven by advertising dollars...

Not watching may make a personal statement, but unless you are willing to take the next step and cut your cable / satellite TV subscription and then avoid advertisers when you are shopping it is a largely ineffective statement.

Most of these games are shown on basic cable; NBC, FOX, and CBS. Ratings are known to advertisers and that drives the rates for ad slots going forward. I didn’t watch a single NFL game last year and I don’t care anymore, and I used to sit there and watch NFL red zone all day long.

Based on previous protest antics...

During post game interviews players will stand on one foot while juggling swords and flaming batons. Oh wait, that's the LBTGabcdef Support what with swords and flaming.

Maybe they'll go with self immolation to protest asset forfeiture. One can hope anyway.
