Poliboard Poll : Trump-Desantis (UPDATED with results)

29Very simple, comment A, B, or C
Assuming Desantis runs in the primary:
A) I will support whoever wins the nomination, whether it’s Trump or Desantis
B) I will support and vote for Trump, but not Desantis
C) I will support and vote for Desantis, but not Trump
D) I’m a democrat who hates the country
My vote is A
Poll results:
111 total votes
A - 87 votes (78.38%)
B - 9 votes (8.11%)
C - 12 votes (10.81%)
D - 0 votes (not shocking, democrats are cowards who can't defend their beliefs)
E - 2 votes for unknown third party candidates (oklahogjr and tarzana, shocker)
F - 1 vote stunningly for communism (I assume Biden)
Key takeaways:
- the overwhelming majority of us are adults who will set aside our disagreements and still vote for whoever wins the primary because it's the only obvious answer and best chance to win
- there are ideologues on both sides of this debate, more so for Desantis in this small sample
- notice who didn't bother to vote: Mickey, SlowFLow, BuckyCheese, Adam Banks, 14 and Counting, etc (these are not real Republicans, so ignore these jackasses)
- almost 100% of the posters believe these two men are our best hope to save this country
- the arguing back and forth everyday is stupid, the real fight is not Trump vs Desantis, and the majority of us support both candidates
- to those who voted B, there is no better alternative to Trump than Desantis, and no one can prove he is an establishment stooge at this time
- to those who voted C, there is no better alternative to Desantis than Trump, and like it or not, many of us still prefer him over Desantis for 2024
- to the 20% who voted for B or C, you guys will be the reason why neither candidate will win the presidency next time around so get your shite together
