have known Royal for some time. He is a good man. . Despite all the misleading ads you are seeing on TV that might indicate otherwise he is the best man for the job.. Did you know that this so called "Alliance for Justice" that is sponsoring these horrible ads against Royal is just a post office box in Baton Rouge!!!!!!!

Even though I am a Republican I voted for Fotti for Attorney General in the primary. I did that for several reasons. IT was a tough vote for me. One of the main reasons was because I feared that Royal would have not the money to hold off Caldwell. I was very disappointed that so many New Orleans area voters went with Caldwell. They have no clue what the area that Caldwell is a public official at is like.

East Carroll and Madison Parishes are places where time has forgot. The corruption is unreal. Caldwell, as a part of the good ole boy network, did little to police it. IF it had not been for the FBI and the Justice Department no one would have been sent to prison up there.

The ads against Royal ALexander are so over the top it has even shocked me. Fotti, though controversal, was honest. It will be a step back for Louisiana if Caldwell wins tonight. It is really a shame that South Louisiana media did not come up here and see the train wreck he has presided over as District Attorney for 20 odd years. That would have been a nice service to their readers and viewers.

Please vote for Alexander and keep the trend of reform that we saw a month ago keep going.

2 questions, 1.if the allegations against him are false, why hasn't he responed to them?

2. how are the ads "horrible"? One of the charges is just taken from the Times Picayune? Are they horrible only because they are against your guy?

I love it a badly worded email is the topic. While these ads run by some shadowy grouops that we don't who is running it

quote:

In the final days of the race for Attorney General, a group which is providing limited or no information is spending up to $1 million trying to buy the election for Democrat candidate Buddy Caldwell. Attack commercials are being aired to slam Republican Royal Alexander for “shaking down contributors” and “selling favors.”

Who is this group? Their name is the Louisiana Justice Fund, but they have no listed members and their Executive Director Derek Fitch has just resigned. Fitch says he doesn’t know anything about the source of the money and cannot even verify the attacks against Alexander. The group only provides a post office box in Baton Rouge and has not provided a list of donors, expenditures or income.

The Louisiana Board of Ethics has no information about the group and some critics believe that the Louisiana Justice Fund is trying to bypass campaign finance laws. Some news reports have indicated a link between the group and Planned Parenthood. It seems that the pro-abortion group desperately wants to elect Caldwell.

Who is involved in this effort? We do not know and this is troubling. Any group dumping such big dollars into a particular race must have a motivation. Why do they oppose Alexander? Again, no information is available to the public.

The voters should be informed anytime such an effort is made to influence an election. The Louisiana Justice Fund should be required to release its list of donors. Unfortunately, by the time the Louisiana Board of Ethics investigates this group, the election will be over. If a fine is instituted, it will be minimal.

Understandably, Alexander is outraged. He claims that “my good name is being ruined by false and misleading advertising, and we don’t even know who is paying for it.”

Voters should not be fooled by these last minute attacks from such a mysterious group. Instead, people should demand more information from the Louisiana Justice Fund to determine why they are so determined to defeat Royal Alexander.

You know don't get me wrong. HEck a lot of these corrupt politicans and lawyers up there are family friends. One person that almost went to the pokey was intrumential in handling my adoption and getting my Momma a baby. God knows what drama was behind that

Still just incredible

Surely, we can do better than that. Sounds like someone who has gotten by on Daddy's name and money.

If what you say about caldwell is true it should be interesting to see how he enforces the new ethics laws which i am confident jindal will get passed.

Alexander has no experience as a prosecutor, or as anything that pertains to being attorney general. He has a sexual harrassment charge and an ethics controversy (telling clients to donate to his campaign in exchange for his services). He also sat on information regarding the page scandal when he was working for Rodney Alexander.

Caldwell is certainly an unsavory candidate, but a vote for Alexander is not exactly a vote for good government. Members of his own family refused to vote for him.

We had three bad choices in October and we got rid of the worst of the three then.

Maybe the republicans should have put up somebody who actually had experience PRACTICING LAW to be the top lawyer for the state.

The reason people voted for Caldwell is that he is an experienced DA.

Due to Foti's miscue's after Katrina, most voters wanted an experienced DA in office.

This election was about on-the-job experience!

Lets see what he does in office before we compare him to Odom...
