How many lives would we have saved if LBJ had sent B-52s to Hanoi in 1965?

That was Gen Colin Powell in 1991 at the beginning of Gulf War 1.

Shortly after I met agent Chuck Horner one of my heroes.

I only wished he had been dressed like Patton with his helmet, swagger stick, and ivory- handled pistols when he said it.

Guarantee all the down votes are from people who either didn’t serve, or if they did, they weren’t operators.

Bluster criticism from a fekkin Aggy?

If you've paid attention to what has happened to the USMC, and other services since 2020, you'd understand how important it is to clearly establish "new rules." He couldn't allow reinterpretation by Air Mobility Command, the Army TRADOC, etc., to be filtered down, he had to sling the salami out there so that it gives the power to junior enlisted and NCOs to fight back.

It would be funny if we could play the world forward with this approach and watch you guys realize your errors, but unfortunately, there is no playing it back.

America has gotten way over its skis in destabilizing other governments and inserting our puppets. That needs to be reined way in. But we cannot withdraw into our borders and let the world burn. That would be disastrous for our standard of living.

I was shocked when he said we have over 40 4 star generals and we won WW2 with 4. That tells you right away the bullshite bureaucracy that's entrenched in the pentagon. I hope he gets rid of most of them.

Getting the job done militarily on the world stage is in our nature. Problem is that at some point we let influences turn them into long endeavors by pussy-footing around.

Objective outcome. Plan to achieve that in the shortest time possible. Get it done. Don't worry about the sound bites and tear jerking media.

Japan is proof of what was needed to be done, and turned out properly. Unfortunately we are getting involved in places like the ME and Africa that don't have the type of people like Japan does. So then we import the 3rd world garbage from there that couldn't build anything in their own lands worth a lick.

Mission of a Marine Corps rifle squad…Locate, close with, and destroy the enemy by fire and maneuver. Repel the enemy’s assault by fire and close combat”. It’s just that simple.
