35.0% chance.

Has nothing to do with Nancy not wanting Trump to issue checks before the election. She has the votes to pass this in the House now, she's trying to work with the Trump admin to make sure it passes the Senate. The Senate is what will hold this up because they do not want to pass anything that will be over the $1T mark.

0%

Then Trump proposes a $2.5T bill, increasing the stimulus checks to Citizens from $1200 to $1800. Nancy then has to answer for saying no...again

-7.3%. Pelosi would never give Trump a victory before the election even it means she’d have to step over homeless and starving baby corpses to do it she would do it with a smile on her face.

Yeah, bailing out corporations. Heaven forbid we give a small stimulus check to the 25 million unemployed and small business owners who had their businesses ruined by Democrat governors. Louisiana is the 5th highest state with unemployment.

I think this is right for the most part, BUT the question is how much does he and his campaign perceive the fact of checks not going out hurts his reelection chances?

Doesn’t it have to be voted on to get passed? No one is voting on anything today.
The Senate is voting tomorrow on their 500 billion dollar package which just like the one the House voted on is DOA.

And the senate would be right on that one.

I.8 to 2.2 trillion is shameful in its excess.

It’s all political pandering to the growing majority of Americans that are too stupid to read between the bullshite. Pelosi set a 48hr deadline for talks knowing good and well her counterpart Steve Mnuchin is not even in the country, the Senate is just coming back and is focusing on ACB this week be also have their vote on the skinny stimulus. She knew it never had a chance to get done but she said it to the media so when it doesn’t happen she can save face and look like she did everything in her power to help the people and sadly many will believe her. She’s been playing games with people lives for months now what makes you think today will be different. She says she cut her asking price down but all she did was cut the timeline back without actually asking for less.

I agree. If they would have set-up the initial program correctly and not given money to pet projects and shite unrelated to COVID; I may be more willing to think something over $1T should be considered. But, there are way too many States that are impeding their own economy to reopen and recover. The federal government should not be here to bail those States out, especially the ones that have no reason for such strenuous lockdowns.

None. There is a zero percent chance that Pelosi allows Trump to get another stimulus bill through before the election. It's not even a secret at this point what her motivations are and have been. She couldn't give a frick less about helping people if it doesn't help her and her party more. It helps her zero to get a bill passed but she thinks it helps her not to get one passed and the blame it not getting passed on Trump and GOP.

to put it simply, the bill Trump wants passed is strictly a bill providing COVID relief to businesses and individuals who have suffered. Pelosi wants to include non-COVID related funding to failing democratic cities that were failing long before COVID, among a host of other things yet she continuously tries to pass the ball while ignoring what is actually holding it up. That's the problem with her. She can't pass a simple, narrowly focused bill. Remember the first bill that was passed got held up because she, initially, demanded the renaming of military bases to be included in that bill. It would be nice if the general public knew what a cancer she was to Americans and just how morally repugnant she is.

I don't think the majority of Americans know unless they actually do their homework. The local news doesn't cover and neither do the vast majority of national news networks or publications. Unfortunately, our media has become so overwhelmingly liberal, getting both sides (or an unbiased view) of any story takes effort, and effort is not an attribute most of our society holds. They want their information the quickest way possible that involves the least amount of reading. So, unfortunately, I don't think most Americans have any idea what's actually been going on. They just hear OMB and assume it's the GOP's and Trump's fault because all they see reported is that Trump did not agree to an offer from Pelosi and the House Democrats and they still haven't received a check. It a sad and unfortunate truth IMO
