Yeah, PP is mostly a Democrat Party get out the vote and harvest as many ballots as possible machine.

They are organized. Yet, the GOP can't get out of their own way...by design.

Doesn't PP receive taxpayer funds? Wouldn't this violate campaign finance laws?

I believe those regs are candidate-based, not policy-based.

Which is excellent sleight of hand and completely absurd.

My Tax Policy thesis was on just that topic, but with respect to churches.

ReadWSJ this morning on 4-2 Arizona supreme court’s decision. What I don’t understand is how they could defer to an 1800s law before Arizona was even a state over an abortion law passed and signed into law by the Arizona legislature and governor in 2022. WSJ reporting is awful.

The only reason I can think of is that the justices twisted the law to make abortion the issue in Arizona this fall. Evil bastards.

Well. I'm not religious but I see a pretty substantial difference between, "tax exempt" and, "look, here's 100s of millions......we're gonna give it to you, then you give it back to us".

In addition, one is far more on sided than the other. Hell, there are no churches MORE active politically than Black churches and that shite ain't on behalf of Republicans.

No government should be able to literally take money out of MY pocket............then give it to you..........so you can then support the government against me.

Someone in AZ should file an audit of PP in AZ.

How can Planned Parenthood, who is federally funded, make political donations? That means they have "extra" money so why not cut back their federal funds?

PP repents and quits that evil practice

I read a lot about "virtue signaling" on this board, but here in the text of this post is pure virtue signaling.

First of all, unbeknownst to many on the anti-choice Radical Right, the majority of pregnancies today are ended via the "morning after pill", a sane alternative to slicing and dicing, and coathangers. The suicidal right-wing party wants to eliminate that option.

Secondly, those who condemn choice options as "evil practice" have no idea of the circumstances surrounding the pregnancy, nor the impact on maternal health if the pregnancy is permitted to continue.

Now who's "virtue signaling?"

Well, republicans need to have a counter to this. It's vital. The border is incredibly important, illegal immigration, etc. But to a certain segment of voters, women, abortion is a singular issue that they will vote to continue. It sucks, but it's absolutely a reality. Women just really want to murder babies it seems.

What's more important to you ladies?

Being able to kill your hypothetical kids before they are born

OR

Have your real life (or the lives of your family) destroyed by illegals?

There is no coherent counter to this in the modern Republican Party. Anti-bodily-autonomy for theocratic purposes or bust.

That’s 60 million less in federal funds they need to receive for the next 4 years then. Apparently they have money to blow and don’t need it

Essentially the democrats are using our tax dollars to campaign for themselves

Unless of course the feds wants to fund the NRA and let them use 60 million of it campaigning in Arizona
