You think Shiite is more reasonable?

You admit they have a massive terrorist network that is currently confined to the middle east... because we are over there.

Again why not admit you were totally wrong about their nuclear ambitions and missile ranges...

They got you fooled.

Its a cult. Thats one of the few things the libs were clearly right about. A large portion of MAGA is in a cult and Trump can literally do no wrong to them. Even his Covid boosters and friendship with King Charles and his new war of choice.

Trump would do well to remember that one of the main reasons he arose as a force on the American political scene was because of neocon fatigue. Though Trump is and always has been a statist who believes in the Leviathan State, many supporters of limited government were willing to overlook this because of his stated opposition to regime-change operations and endless wars.

Indeed, the main thing that differentiated Trump from previous GOP candidates in 2016 was Trump’s stated objections to these failed policies. I remember Karl Rove going on Fox News after Bush’s 2004 win, triumphantly wielding his infamous whiteboard to “prove” a permanent Republican majority had arrived.

Yet in the subsequent midterms, the Repubes were routed. And of course, the 2008 election cycle brought us the community-organizer-in-chief.

Many in Trump’s base are now displaying the very same hubris. In our wholly corrupted political environment in which the Deep State rules in perpetuity, the guarantees expire every election cycle.

Wildly fluctuating ideological volatility is baked into the 2 party system. Yet while the two wings of the UniParty® argue each other on cable TV, the Deep State ever consolidates it’s power.

So what is Trump going to do to stop that threat?

Because all he's done is increase the chance that hardliners will take the country and work even harder for nuclear weapons.

No — absolutely not — you’re missing the broader point. My argument isn’t about claiming one faction of Islam is in someway more tolerant or preferable to another; it is about acknowledging the complexities of the Middle East and recognizing that choosing sides in these ancient sectarian disputes has repeatedly proven to be counterproductive.

Again, Saudi Arabia’s global funding of Wahhabism — a militant strain of Islam — makes it one of the primary state sponsor of Islamic terrorism. Stating that reality is not an apologia for Iran.

It is rather about stepping back and looking at the bigger picture and questioning why we continue to entangle ourselves in conflicts where our involvement repeatedly only make things worse. What I’m advocating for is a more pragmatic approach that allows the other military powers in the region to manage their own collective security.

Trump declared that Iran’s nuclear weapons program has been obliterated. Tulsi Gabbard’s testimony before a Senate hearing last month confirmed that assessment.

This testimony directly contradicted Trump’s recent claim that he targeted Tehran because Iran was weeks away from acquiring a nuclear weapon. Who exactly is being fooled here?

Our security is undermined by nukes.

Anything else I'm with you on no more middle east adventures.

But nukes threaten us.

Uranium isnt destroyed they can rebuild.

So why were you so wrong about them for years...

You were dead wrong for years, you refuse to admit you were wrong.

You are an indictment of your position, the best argument against it is your own history of being repeatedly blind.

Trump is the one who claimed Iran’s nuclear weapons program had been obliterated.

Trump likewise claimed that Iran’s military capabilities had been 100% destroyed.

Your argument here should be with Trump, not me.

No one cares what lies you tell. You want to go into bathrooms with our little girls. That invalidates any opinion you might have.

No, I've always said that we should take out Iran's Nuclear weapons program.

You disagree, you keep saying it's fine.

You were wrong and continue to be wrong.

You again are an indictment of blindly sticking to an ideal long past it's expiration date.

We need to prevent Iran from ever having a nuke.

It's a threat to the US no matter how long blind people like you have insisted it wasn't.

Iran is an continues to be a threat to the United States.

You conveniently are ignoring the fact that Trump said that goal was accomplished. Tulsi Gabbard recently confirmed that assessment under oath in a Senate hearing.

Short term he was correct, did you in any way think that they could never build it again?

He seems to have wrongly hoped that Iran would be reasonable and diplomatic.

He was dead wrong.

The only thing IRGC understands is death.
