Do we have a huge ongoing military mission in Brussels that I am not aware of?
I mean, no way she was going there to meet with EU leaders and admonish the President publicly while using the EU as a platform. No way, this was all about the troops.
I wonder how many front line briefings she was going to get in Egypt.

Are we involved in a military engagement in Europe that requires her to go to Brussels in order to speak the the American head of SACEUR? She was going there to soapbox to NATO and the EU.
The Speaker of the House doesn't have to go to Belgium to get NATO briefings. All of our wars in the Middle East are ran out of Tampa, IIRC, and NATO is barely even involved in Afghanistan anymore.
