Mark “Cuban” is one of the saddest billionaires in human history.

Mark Cuban is an idiot.

His net worth in 1999 was $5.7 billion.

His net worth now, $5.7 billion.

Mark could have just bought U.S. Treasury bonds at 1.5% yield and be worth $8.25 billion.

It takes real effort to not grow $5.7 billion in 25 years.

Just love it when these people spout off first before even thinking.

Can you not apply critical thinking? Would actually make sense.

Gotcha. That's why I was asking.

Yep, and I would imagine the Mavericks are about 20% of that, or his net worth would have actually declining.

Cuban made his money in the dot com bubble when idiots were gobbling up any company they could. He’s basically a 2017 crypto billionaire who lucked into money and acts like he knows what’s he’s doing.

If he held an S&P 500 index fund for that period he’d probably he would be up 1,900%.

I like that Musk makes Cuban feel like an average nobody with how much money he has. And Musk doesn't care about showcasing his wealth. He sold all of his properties and lives in a $50,000 foldable home in Texas now close to where he works (basically a 1-bedroom efficiency). He said "freedom" when asked why he sold all of his properties. He's a fascinating dude.

That's what I'm saying.

Take $5 billion in 1999, live off the $700 million (extremely nicely) and that $5 billion is worth A LOT more than the $5.7 billion he started with in 1999 just by investing in risk free short term treasury bonds.
