If I'm Donald Trump, this news makes me very nervous. Trump should be insisting he step aside from the Speakership immediately.

We've already seen what Gowdy and Corker have done since not worrying about reelection. Ryan is essential to Trump's survival through at least next January. He's holding his finger in the dyke. Take away his motivation to defend Trump due to not running for reelection and, well, he has absolutely no reason to keep his finger where it's at. His game turns from GOP operative to building his own legacy.

When they knew it wouldn't get signed into law - and then had no plan or anything in place when controlling both houses and the WH.

You lost your credibility with this one, and no reason to go any further.

What a complete fail.

Given the insult you gave following what I quoted above, your credibility should never recover from zero.

^^^ It has seemed Ryan has been doing all of above since Trump’s inauguration anyway?

Ryan leaving I assumed was just another drain the swamp moment I felt?

You totally spaced on the ACA repeal under Trump, but I am retard.

You are indeed retarded. Clearly you don't understand that what they advanced was not a full repeal, and wasn't anywhere close to a full repeal, and that the ACA is still going, and that all progress on the issue was left up to Executive Branch action alone.

Ryan was instrumental in allowing Nunes to turn the House investigation into a complete sham.

What if he now decides to remove Nunes from that panel? What if he's happy to put an impeachment vote on the floor?

Ryan is holding a whole shite ton of power and his allegiances may have just changed. Not saying that they DID change, but they sure as hell might have changed. We know Ryan is no fan of Trump.

The executive branch hasn't led on any stated objective of both congress and the WH to date

The closest they've come is setting fourth a list of 4 vague priorities for comprehensive immigration reform, and that only because nobody in Congress knew what the frick the President actually would go for

Good for him. Although I might not always agree politically with him, he recognizes there is more to life than politics. Curious to see what he does in the public sector, as he doesn't seem like the lobbying type.

While you celebrate Ryan's impending retirement, soon you'll realize that this means he knows that Republicans are going to get destroyed in November.

He was lazy and didn't want to fight a hard fight, so he's taking his ball and going home to his corporate overlords.

I am still waiting on you to say the same thing about Pelosi and Schumer. How are they not also k street whores?

Ryan resigning and or especially running for POTUS with Kasich will turn out Trump voters in a landslide (SEE 2016) The polls will say the dems have it in the bag until they don't.

Take Ryan's dick out of your mouth and do some thinking. Then get back to me.

I don't give a good goddamn how many Trump voters turn out. You guys are in the minority, and we're waaaaaay more motivated to vote than even you racists were in 2016.
