Based on court docs so far, seems Tony Podesta, Vin Weber, and Greg Craig are fricked. (from what I have read so far)

Yep, crimes are crimes. Expect them to face the music too.

No that isn't wasn't what he said at all. Go back and reread, or rewatch. He specifically said that there is no evidence of American involvement. Because there is none. It's been 2 years since the initial investigation really got going and not one American has been indicted for wrongdoing in regards to Russia and any plan to steal an election. Why do you think that is? Especially given that the Russians involved have been indicted? Oh , that's right. There never was any evidence to even suggest any Americans were involved and Democrats completely made that shite up based on what Russians did.

Talk about stupid.

His exact quote:

quote:

There is no allegation in this indictment that any American citizen committed a crime. There is no allegation that the conspiracy altered the vote count or changed any election result.

Again, Trump supporters are unbelievably stupid. You could've easily googled this quote before you made yourself look silly.

And common fricking sense (which Democrats have none) says that if any Americans were implicated they would have been indicted . Ergo, no Americans are implicated.

I don’t understand why anyone wants trump to pardon manafort. He’s a piece of shite. There should be hundreds of more Manaforts going down in DC. Our country would be better off for it.

True. If lobbying reform or enhanced enforcement would be the result of all this then can't we all agree that it was worth it?

This is what happens when the government does not strictly enforce FARA laws. People learn they can get away with dirty foreign lobbying.

I bet you could indict hundreds of people on k-street alone for not registering as foreign agents.

Luckily, I have seen reporting that the doj is planning on massively upping their enforcement of the law.

If we were serious about prosecuting FARA crimes, Lanny Davis would have served time.

That's not how this works.

You indict when you feel you have all the evidence you need to convict on that crime. That wasn't the case at the time so no American was indicted then.

Since Mueller only speaks thru indictments, we'll have to wait to see.

True, it's all about enforcement priority.

DUIs are rampant, only a small percentage are caught. If the gov't wanted to shift priorities, it would find it.

The one thing DT said on the campaign trail that I can confidently say is close to accepted fact: "I could stand in the middle of 5th Avenue and shoot someone" and not lose any voters.

DT sycophants literally don't care about what he does or says. They'll follow him blindly into oblivion.

Paul Manafort's cooperation agreement with the special counsel does not include matters involving the Trump campaign, according to a person familiar with the case, @johnson_carrie reports.

Looks like NPR is retracting their initial tweet:

Carrie Johnson

Carrie Johnson Retweeted Up First

IMPORTANT NEW addition: plea agreement requires Manafort to cooperate "in any and all matter as to which the government deems the cooperation relevant" including full, complete testimony to the grand jury in DC

Technically speaking you are right. But why would the Special Counsel's office not ask questions about the Trump campaign?

LOL that's not even true at all.

Look no further than the Russians who showed up and the USG was like "ahem, we need a continuance so we can make our case" LOL

Any prosecutor in America could indict you tomorrow for a crime you didn't commit. Work for a state or federal public defender for a day and see if your unquestionable faith in our "justice" system remains. So tell me "liberals", if the government can ruin the lives of some of the most powerful men in DC because of a political vendetta, what can they do to the poor minorities you claim to love and represent?

That I don't know. Not making any assertions as to the purpose or scope of the plea deal. Just pointing out that they weren't "wrong" in either tweet.
