It might be a tough pill to swallow but we should stand up in support of FOX, whether we agree with their recent programming changes or not.

Here’s what will happen.
Rupert’s kids - who now run that operation - have a fricking gun to their head.
Fox won’t be deplatformed- IF they muzzle Hannity, Laura Ingram and Tucker - OR if they just go ahead and fire them for inciting insurrection and acknowledge publicly that they should be shunned. They did it to OReiley and Ailes. So why not?
They can replace Hannity with “Republicans” Jeff Flake or John Kaisch. Easy peasy. Everyone is safer. Everyone is “happy.” Or really if they’re unhappy they can’t say otherwise

The only way that FOX will be in danger is if they carry Trump's messages live. The other networks have already said that they'll air his future remarks only after they've made sure that they're not another irresponsible call to action.

You are spot on except for the commie behavior....it would widely be seen as commie behavior to regulate the size and reach of media...in fact, just 40 or so years ago the GOP was all about this....and eliminated a little thing called the fairness doctrine. I will bet all takers a coca cola that someone in the GOP starts extolling the virtues of the fairness doctrine in less than 24 months. Gotta be careful of what you ask for, especially when the basis of your ideology is flawed to the point that you are convinced the market is infallible.....

O'Reily and Ailes got fired for their inappropriate behavior with women in the workplace. They got MeToo'd and it wasn't political. They had people like Meghan Kelly as well as a bunch of others coming out and she is by no means a liberal.

Maybe, but I just don't think they'll see it as in their interest to push too far. They've already shown they can succeed.
To me, this is testing a couple of theories/plans in the works for a long time. Two fold, I think
1) Leftists control most big influential companies. They've helped created a short-attention span environment through social media and 24/7 news and horrendous reality TV and feeding superhero content to adults, etc. etc. etc. We're a dumb society that is only getting more stupid and we need ever more stimulation to function and find happiness now that they've waged war on the family, faith, etc. Leftists can't win straight up arguments with normal people about abortion and transgenderism and whatever based on merit. But they can get you to back down if they can show your quality of life (consisting of the above fleeting, vanity-driven shite) is in jeopardy if you engage in wrongthink.
2) Our modern tech oligarchs who are ideologically driven (like Jack) know that he can't hire private security to protect him from the masses, nor will police/military/etc. give a shite about him after he's spent years letting people use his company to wage war on those things. So he's a wealthy sitting duck if the mobs (left or right, black or white, etc.) ever come to his door with genuinely ill intent. And there are many like him. But again, the mobs crave stimulation, they love their iphones, they love Instagram, etc. They can probably be better controlled with addiction to these things than the threat of jailtime. So it's not just an ideological war, it's a personal protection plan for the uber-wealthy. We're addicts and they're our dealer.
