She actually said she wouldn't have felt safer if she had a concealed weapon to defend herself and her students with when Cruz began his shooting spree.
The teacher is crazy, an idiot or lying through her teeth because she doesn't want to admit that it's a good idea to have some teachers carry a concealed gun while at school.
Now that I think about it, she is all three.

She revealed her issue with it at the end. Said no reason to spend money on security, they should give her a raise.

She knew she would probably blow her liberal head off with it. If you gave her a clothes hanger I'm sure she could have aborted the shooter no problem

If I was a parent I sure as hell wouldn't want her to be in charge of my kids.
The more I listen to the Parkland teachers the more I think they all voted for Hillary.

hooters are looking to run up the score. They don't want to risk getting blown away after 1 or 2 because they don't know who is armed. Hell,they wouldn't even make the national news for that.

Maybe she is not proficient with a firearm. Some people are just scared. However arming teachers is not a bad idea. We arm pilots today. They go through a training course and are then certified to carry a weapon onto the aircraft. This program Federal Flight Deck Officer (FFDO) was started as a result of 9-11 attacks. The numbers of pilots who have completed this program and carry is classified, but I would estimate there are thousands who have done so. If we can do this with pilots, why not have teachers do the same thing? Not every teacher, just those who want to go through training.

Nobody is saying all teachers should be armed.
However, anyone who was at the school when the shootings began and says they wouldn't have felt safer if they had been armed is fricking lying through their teeth.
They just don't want to admit that President Trump and the NRA are correct that arming some teachers will save lives.

Nothing is foolproof, Rex.
Shootings happen on military bases.
But the idea is to lessen the probability.
If you don’t think armed personnel can minimize the carnage caused by a shooter, you’re not being honest with yourself.

Rex, If some one is evil and intent on killing, the same carnage or more could be easily accomplished and no guns could be used. At a school or any other large gathering of people. What would you do then?

Nobody is saying that no deaths will occur even when some teachers are armed.
However, there is no doubt that arming some teachers may save their life and the lives of some students who would be killed if no teachers are armed.
