Outrage as Speakers Defend Hamas During Oakland City Council Meeting
There was outrage on social media after a number of speakers defended Hamas during an Oakland city council meeting which voted for an "immediate ceasefire" between Israel and the Palestinian group on Monday. Some falsely suggested either the October 7 massacre didn't happen or that the Israeli military was heavily involved in the mass killing of Jews.

Don't get mad ONLY at the politicians; get mad at their supporters/voters too. People like Tlaib in Detroit don't say these things in a vacuum. They say these things because a group of people provide them cover from consequences.

The actual Democrats have defended Israel, but, yeah, some extreme lefties took up the Palestinian cause a long time ago.
Palestinians sort of got the short end of the stick in 1949, no doubt.
Israeli settlements in the West Bank and elsewhere have aggravated the problem over the years. The Israeli settlers can be pretty vicious.
