You are showing your own racism.

quote:

95% of your murders — murderers and murder victims — fit one M.O. You can just take the description, Xerox it and pass it out to all the cops.

You didn't find anything racist about this. Do you think blacks commit 95% of the murders? Your acceptance of that "stat" is really telling. Do you think you can just "xerox" that M.O. and run with it? Your willingness to find that reasonable is very telling.

Liberals reveal themselves for what they are on accident every now and then.

Wow.

A few of them, sure. Just not the overwhelming percentage that everyone else here believes, though I would say that the number of outright “lies” is rather small.

I guess you just feel like fishing sometimes.

I have said from the beginning that I doubt that Trump is any more racist than the average New Yorker. Feel free to run a search and confirm. Here is just one example.

I have also said REPEATEDLY that his lawsuit for refusing to rent to Blacks does not establish racism, only racial discrimination. The two are distinct concepts.

I did not say that it was “reasonable,” and I did not agree with it. In fact, I think I said that it was hyperbole.

I suggest that you give some thought to your apparent belief that ANY action based upon race (OR having a racially disparate impact) necessarily constitutes “racism.”. If you do so, you will begin to see the problems inherent in your definition.

strawman...and an attempt to shift focus to me rather than to yourself.

You didn't find the 95% comment or the xerox comment racist. And, you found it reasonable to be used to profile blacks.

You've accidentally revealed yourself for who you are (as if a Texas liberal could be anything but a racist)

Are you serious? Pragmatic? Just because I I am walking thru a place where crimes are committed does not give you a right to search me.

No, it does not.

The pragmatic solution is not always a Constitutional solution. That is certainly the case here. Stop and Frisk is VERY problematic under the 4th Amendment. I have said so probably six or seven times in this thread.

But we were not discussing the 4th Amendment. We were discussing the question of racism.

I will try one more time.

several weeks ago, we had a thread in which we discussed a study which determined that Republican voters believe the Democratic Party to be comprised of more than 50% Blacks. The actual figure is less than 20%. This is not indicative of racism on the part of Republicans. It is simply a mistaken perception.

even if we take the (ridiculous) step of assuming that Bloomberg‘s “95%“ language was anything other than hyperbole, a mistaken perception, again, does not constitute racism.

Not every action or perception involving “race” constitutes “racism.”. At this point, either you are capable of grasping this concept ... or you are not.

You think it's pragmatic to float the 95% lie about black people committing murders to justify the action (even though you find it unconstitutional)

That's amazingly racist.

It was a false narrative. Republican voters don't believe that on average.

It's being used to justify profiling of black people. If the statistic is close to 50%, how does profiling make ANY sense unless you are a racist.

Of course. How else could you justify being called out for your obviously racist worldview. You are forced to convince yourself that those who point it out aren't smart.

And, I'd point out that the ability to convince yourself of something that is counter to objective facts is anything but intelligent.

It is racist

acknowledging the reality of inner city conditions and crime rates shouldn't be considered racist.

when a white person talks in generalities, that's when we get in trouble...that said, is it true or false? If we stop locking up people what happens to that community? Look at the homeless situations out West when they stop arresting people "Because it doesn't work"...

When 75% of black children are born out of wedlock, I mean what kind of results do people expect?

and we hear from the left "oh this great economy isn't helping poor people, so it isn't that great, vote Dem in 2020"

statistically, 93% of registered Black voters vote Democrat.

the other 7% vote independent or republican...

what percentage of the black population is unregistered to vote?

if a group of people don't vote, then we can't label them Dem or Republican...

so in this case, 93% of blacks (voters) are "Democrats"

that's not perception... it's just how it is

if Whites voted 93% Republican, this would most certainly be viewed as extremely odd, unfair, unbalanced, extremely biased and probably racists...

Having experience working in the media.

If you believe this you’re as naive and ignorant as a child. Or completely biased because you agree with their agenda.
