“The best thing ever to happen to Twitter is Donald Trump.” @MariaBartiromo So true, but they don’t treat me well as a Republican. Very discriminatory, hard for people to sign on. Constantly taking people off list. Big complaints from many people. Different names-over 100 M.....

.....But should be much higher than that if Twitter wasn’t playing their political games. No wonder Congress wants to get involved - and they should. Must be more, and fairer, companies to get out the WORD!

Great meeting this afternoon at the @WhiteHouse with @Jack from @Twitter. Lots of subjects discussed regarding their platform, and the world of social media in general. Look forward to keeping an open dialogue!

Banning Trump would be a tactical error. Instead, they banned the core of his social media support while Trump did nothing.

What exactly would that be?

Then we would get the whining about "dictator".

There will be whining either way.

Has anyone accused Trump of being a small government conservative?

I suggest that the fed look at social media in a manner similar to the way it looks at ISPs.

I also think that something similar to FCC fairness rules should be put in place. I'd ultimately like to see all legal speech be allowable under the law on services like Facebook /Twitter where the content is user created.

I'd also suggest that the fed should stop letting social media corporations talk out of both sides of their mouth concerning their status as publishers.

I'd like to see all data corporations that directly share user data with the feds without specific warrants (google, Verizon, AT&T etc) be regulated in a manner similar to utilities. (This is absolutely the most important issue to me)

We've been through this kind of issue many times. Regulation will happen. It is certain. Trump should be pushing for it hard, and using what executive authority he has to shape how that regulation looks.

The bulk of the Congressmen who “want to get involved” would certainly argue that THEY are “small government conservatives.”
