He put them in place because he had to for a period, to “flatten the curve”. Even if he didn’t want to, he had to so y’all wouldn’t lose your minds. Do you recall when towards the end of last month he suggested we can’t let the cure be worse than the virus and we needed to start looking at opening the economy back up? At that time y’all roasted him for not valuing human life and saying all he cared about was the economy. Which way do you want it?

Whichever way is most destructive to OMB.
That is all.

That $3.5MM should be covering payroll, benefits and retirement, with up to 25% to rent and other particular overhead items. This required documentation and a statement that their business was impacted adversely by COVID-19.
There will be reviews when the loan forgiveness stage comes around. If they don’t show all of that going to cover the approved expenses, they may be looking at repayment rather than it dropping to the bottom line. If it does, something smells fishy.
Nothing is fishy. They will show all the monies going to payroll, mortgage, etc. The reason the PPP (grant)proceeds will go to their bottom line is they woul have been able to cover payroll, mortgage, etc anyway, from business cash flow. Follow?

Even weirder when one doesn't present facts but here we are.
I noticed two facts that haven’t been refuted:
1) DJT put certain guidelines in place.
2) those guidelines negatively affected businesses

Are we really gonna act like the white house guidelines had nothing to do with the current situation for small business?
You do understand what a guideline is, right?

In case you didn't see it the first time

I completely understand what a guideline is.
I’ve noticed questions and ad hominem attacks, which is typical, but nobody coming with the idea that these guidelines issued by Trump have had zero effect on small businesses.

Man, people like you with the "ad hominem attacks" whining.
Answer this, were small business's forced by said guidelines to shutter said small businesses? Be truthful, for once. I'll even say please.
I can promise you, my wife's business wasn't shut down by the President, she was shut down by the Governor.
I'm assuming you will respond with "but he was following the President's guidelines" retort, right?

It's weird that facts bother people
I don't even understand what you think you are arguing. Yes, those are the reason this PPP was instituted. There was basically no elected official at the federal level against those restriction guidelines.

I'm amazed that 1.6M small businesses somehow netted $369B bucks to essentially wipe out the PPP
I know right, I put in for the PPP several days ago, for a rather small sum, a pittance really...I haven't heard shite, except for a bunch of "stay tuned" while others are raking in millions. Ridiculous!

I know americans are stupid but I can't believe voters haven't split and created another wing of the party. I'd shoot myself before supporting current Dem's.

If you do that, you would then end up voting for them.

I follow. It's just serving the purpose of the PPP loan. In theory, it's going to everyone's bottom line.
If they had the reserves to cash flow throughout the crisis, that's admirable.
