I never like being misinterpreted, but especially when it comes to Otto Warmbier and his great family. Remember, I got Otto out along with three others. The previous Administration did nothing, and he was taken on their watch. Of course I hold North Korea responsible....

....for Otto’s mistreatment and death. Most important, Otto Warmbier will not have died in vain. Otto and his family have become a tremendous symbol of strong passion and strength, which will last for many years into the future. I love Otto and think of him often!

It’s such a dumb story. Media doesn’t give a damn about Otto, just using this to bash Trump when what he said is factual

Feel terrible for his family and good on the president for coming out and making a positive statement on the kid.
Yes the kid made a stupid decision which cost him his life but man, Obama should have been involved on getting him back day 1.
I feel for that’s kids family

Media should be ashamed

Trump was the one who said he believed the dictator didn’t know anything about it. He said into a microphone for all the world to hear. Ya know the dictator that kills his family members, Trump said he believed him.

no way he wrote that. It just doesn't sound like his style.

There's no way he actually believes Rocket Man didn't know about him

He said that he believes that Kim wasn’t personally involved with Otto. I think that’s possible**. I think it’s also highly likely that Trump is more concerned with denuclearization and peace than with picking a fight with a dictator; which appears to be exactly what you and your ilk would rather he do .
**- Don’t forget that Obama said on multiple occasions that he first heard of something occurring in the US from the news.

@real's obeisance to dictators and thugs is really something else.

If you don’t think Kim knows every single thing that happened to Otto, then I got some beachfront property in Kansas for sale.

Once again telling people he didn't say what we all saw him say
The poor Warmbier family isn't having his bullshite, either
quote:
"We have been respectful during this summit process. Now we must speak out. Kim and his evil regime are responsible for the death of our son Otto. Kim and his evil regime are responsible for unimaginable cruelty and inhumanity. No excuses or lavish praise can change that. Thank you," Fred and Cindy Warmbier, Otto's parents, said

Trump used Otto as a prop for the true believers, that’s sickening.
Posted on 3/1/19 at 5:10 pm to JuiceTerry
Of course Kim and his regime are responsible, but did Kim personally direct or authorize the torture of Otto that led to his death? There’s really no way of knowing for certain.

My Foster Dad fought in Korea; said it was the coldest place on Earth. A lot died...before Otto. But Trump is trying to lure/coax Un into making a deal that would prevent further and much death. No way should Warbier's death undermine Trump's effort.

How did this make sense in your head

That is entirely possible, but the one thing we know for sure is that Dems are using Otto as a prop currently.
