That's obvious.
Mail in voting is not the same as absentee voting.
I'm not referencing absentee voting. I'm literally talking about mail in voting.

Seems like this battle is already lost and mail in voting is inevitable.

The legitimacy of the vote will be challenged by whichever side loses; looks like Trump is setting up to play the "rigged" card. Don't know where that would go if Biden wins, but it be monumental.
BTW, if Trump were to drop the WHOLE of Durham's investigatory info, before Jan. 21 - from Weiner's Laptop to Hillary's Emails (with Obama conversing) - that would essentially throw a wrench into the whole 'Government'. From there...it goes to 'John Mark Speaks'/Mark My Words' "why the Right will win the coming civil war". Or maybe Americans who believe their Rights come from God, and not the majority vote...will lay down their guns and their freedom. Time will tell. My bet...same as the Founding Revolution...only takes 10% of committed folk to wreck the whole thing...and bring about JM's 'civil war'.
Bottom line. Votes only matter if Trump wins. I know.

The other states all currently have mail in voting set up.
Mail in, or absentee. There is a difference.

I don't understand the argument.
There is mail in voting were verification takes place. In other words where the voter goes to the voter registers office, shows an identification, picks up a ballot, goes home, fills out the ballot and finally mails the ballot in.
That kind of mail in voting is fine. No one is arguing about that type of mail in voting. Not even the president.
Then there is the Democrat version of mail in voting. The Democrat mail in voting version is were local registers offices mail out ballots to every existing address and P.O. box. Those ballots are filled out by who knows who and mailed back. Then those ballots are apparently verified.
There are many problems that abound with the Democrat version of mail in voting. First you don't know if the actual person that filled out the ballot matches the name on the ballot. Second you don't know if the person on the ballot was forced or tricked to fill out their ballot a certain way. Third you don't know if these voting precincts are really checking the validity of each ballot. Fourth you don't know if the post office is "losing" ballots. (There are many more problems).
So do you like the Democrat version of mail in voting?

He’s right and that’s why you’re seeing this nonsense continue. The dems will start making serious push for this by September 1.

It will be pushed in Democrat states and not so much in Republican states.

So the states I just cited and listed that's not what they are currently doing right now?
Which states then have full on mail in voting - the kind the Democrats want right now?

You are so criminally uninformed yet here you are opining.

Michigan, Penn, Wisconsin, NC
All have Blue Gov and Blue SOS.
I'd still be concerned...

I'm asking a simple fricking question. Which states currently have the version that Gumbo Pot is referencing with the Dem version of mail in voting?
Posted on 7/21/20 at 8:06 am to Magician2
That is what they Dems are pushing in all the talk you hear about mail in voting.
What you call mail in voting, and listed above, is absentee voting. You have to ask for the ballot. It doesn't magically arrive without you requesting it.
Dem mail in voting, which they have done in CA, means as the poster above said; EVERY person (dead or alive) gets a ballot mailed to their last known address. No request needed.

In Cali...illegals can get a license. It is supposed to be designated as a DL for an illegal alien...meaning that you can drive, but you can’t vote.
However, what if the worker at the DMV fails to note that this person is here illegally and cannot vote? Then they will go into the booth and vote just like actual US Citizens.
My question, if the illegal immigrant only has a foreign birth certificate, how well do the workers at the DMV recognize false ones? I mean, could a person get multiple drivers licenses? If so, could “multiple” illegal aliens (all living at the same address) now vote in the election?
In short, the integrity of the election process in California seems to be in the hands of the person behind the counter at the DMV.
Let that sink in.
If my thought process is off, point out the flaw.

It's my understanding that most states are NOT doing blanket mailings of ballots to every address on the voter register's database. Most states require the voter to show up and present identification to acquire a ballot. Some counties in California are doing blanket ballot mail outs. That's how they flipped 6 Republican House seats from GOP to Dem in 2018 in Orange County.
Posted on 7/21/20 at 8:17 am to BuckyCheese
So Cali is the only state today allowing that type of mail in voting?
The term in and of itself can be confusing because Utah, Col, Hawaii are all calling theres "mail in voting" when it's technically absentee.
