You do understand that with the media demanding he move this world event to a paying site, he can now bludgeon the UN into coughing up the appropriate freight for existing in NYC, right? And they will be forced to close more programs as a result. Because if Trump cant give aid to the G7, then the US sure as hell can't continue doing the same for the UN.

This will make for a good campaign stumping point if he was able and willing to do it for zero cost to the USA taxpayer. If it was for 'no profit' then you could still argue that it keeps his people gainfully employed on the taxpayer's nickle. Having said that, we're going to pay for it wherever it's held, so it's not that big of a deal.
