Of course I am. I lived and survived through Carter and Obama, two MASSIVE failures who saw this country contract, retreat, experience division, failure and self doubt about many fundamental bedrock issues.

This is the bottom line: if Obama had posted some childish shite like that on twitter in the middle of a pandemic and economic crisis while he was president, this board would have melted to the fricking ground. shite, maybe he did something similar at some point, and if so I guarantee this place melted the frick down about it (some of you guys are still melting over obama
). But trump does it and it's celebrated! That's not unexpected, that's human nature, especially when it comes to politics. I just ask that you recognize the hypocrisy. You guys spent 8 years bitching about how much golf obama played, and trump plays way more golf and it's brushed off or justified in some way. Trump spent years basically leading the birther movement, fake news if I've ever heard it, and then you elect him as he calls everything else fake news.
Almost everyone (not just you guys, but everyone including myself) fails to see the same qualities in themselves (and those they support) that they criticize in others. And I'm telling you, there is a very good chance that you will be surprised come election night if Trump doesn't grow up a little bit before then.

I am a realist. I am nuanced. This is not some manufactured drama no matter how our politicians and our media are trying to make it out to be. I can take the good with the bad and make a reasonable decision. I desire civility and live it in the my own life. It is that simple.
