Three times, actually. The goal was to have the American people choose the next Supreme Court Justice.
We did, and by three million more votes chose a liberal Supreme Court Justice.

the Senate wasn't confirming him regardless. Gorsuch got nominated b/c Trump won. had HRC won, Gorcush wouldn't be nominated (and neither would have Garlands, so you're attempt at a point is hollow)
