ey're talking about his postings on the rant. People started a help board thread asking for admins to intervene. He's a dick on there.
Sad to hear this news. Cancer fricking sucks. God speed, Ben
Thank you to everyone for the prayers and kind words of encouragement. God knows that we'll need them in the coming weeks. Today's news was devastating. I've been fighting this disease and everything that comes along with it for over a year now. Blood clots, cellulitis, diabetes, plus side effects of chemo and radiation. I've still got radiation burns on my back.
The pain has been unbearable and is getting worse.
I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy. I would take it and do it all again before I'd see any of my friends or family or any other loved ones have to deal with it. I'm trying to face this with as much dignity as I can muster.
I want to apologize to anyone on this board who has any lingering animosity due to any verbal altercations we may have had in the past. Or if I may have offended you at some point please forgive me. I certainly don't want to be known as a dick although there's not much to be done about the situation on the rant.

: A man needs a little pepper on his soul. Don’t worry Ben, I’m guessing no one will hold it against you. We’re all dicks on here from time to time.
You have been blessed with one of God’s special graces-that of a family complete. The comments on here are a testament to your great fortune as you’ve lived your life on this wonderful earth.
I was in Jonesville the other day and headed back through Monterrey and was thinking about you.
Godspeed my friend.

That said, the two sentences I quoted above are enough to prove to me that you're a good man. Godspeed to you and blessings on your family.

I wouldn't worry about that. There are people in the world that don't have the ability to move on when greater things are pressing.
My sister was one of these people when my mother passed from lung cancer in 2010. No matter what she stuck to her guns and never saw her mother again, life is about more than being right.
Peace be with you and your loved ones, Ben. I'm not a prayer but I will definitely be praying for you, Crissie and your son.
ETA:
A little humor I remember about one of your posts. This was right before you got diagnosed.
You were going to work somewhere up north and made a post about stopping at one of the worst places you'd ever eaten. It was at the Petro Diner(I think) on exit 299 on I65 in Cullman, Al.
Sometimes we post trivial things that just make people laugh.

Ben, I saw my brother go through this and he said the same about the pain. I have tears in my eyes but I have faith that God is in control of this and you’re not going anywhere until He is ready for you.
I will continue to pray for comfort and strength for you and Crissie. WWG1WGA

Man don't apologize to me, read some of my posts. I have no room in that category.
I was just answering what she was asking about. I hope you keep fighting and maybe consider some crazy out there solutions if they're telling you it's over. Google like crazy and see what's out there, but don't give up.

Ben, as a fellow cancer warrior you are on my mind heavily. It's not fair and doesn't make sense, but it's the way it goes I guess. You sound like you went through this with grace and dignity and that inspires me.

Sending prayers of brotherly love and acceptance your way Ben. And to Crissy of course, I know how even in your hour of need, your thoughts are with her. And that pretty much says it all about the kind of man you are. As you suffer, your thoughts are on how your suffering is impacting others. You are a good man Ben. And please don't think it's trite or clichéd when we tell you that you are an inspiration to us all, Ben. We are to a degree we will never understand while alive on this earth, in this messy thing called life TOGETHER, and our spirits and souls are intertwined in ways we can not really fathom. And your strength through this ordeal IS an inspiration and a reminder to all of us to do better. Those of us who care about you Ben, are standing shoulder to shoulder with you , even if we are just on this forum. I love you, man.
You are a fine American.

Hes an awesome person and I am clueless about how to approach this.
You’re his bud. Just be you. You already know how to be what he needs in this time. I know it’s easier said than done, but find a little thing to make it more bearable. Y’all don’t want to have a last memory of the cancer beating y’all emotionally too.
Prayers Ben Coleman.

Hi Ben,
I researched Alex Trebec and how he is fighting what you have. This is what I found. I pray this is helpful...(If need be, and you need to travel to get treatment; start a fresh gofundme for the trip and all expenses while you are fighting)

But he pointed to two “significant advances” in the treatment of pancreatic cancer over the past decade — gemcitabine, which may be used alone or with other drugs, and a combination of four chemotherapy drugs called Folfirinox.
Research into how to prevent, detect and treat pancreatic cancer is ongoing. In 2017, the National Cancer Institute provided more than $178 million in funding in this area.
Donahue said treatment options for patients with pancreatic cancer have expanded over the past 10 years, with more drug regimens being shown to improve survival.
Other types of treatments are also being explored, with some success.
“Exceptional responses to immunotherapy have been reported in small subsets of [certain] patients,” said Saif.

Thank you for the research. I've actually been on both of those drugs at one time or another over the last year. One is called the FU-5 because it's so brutal. I've been looking for someone to get me in immunotherapy. I was turned down by the general and I'm assuming that ochsner's is about to turn me down too. Crissie wants to go to MD Anderson but they don't take my insurance. We're still looking and praying.
