No, I'm being concerned wondering if there was insurance or if his treatments were somehow not covered. I thought ACA was affordable thru subsidies if a person, for whatever reason, could not afford.

So I'm wondering why insurance diesnt cover what's being done.....that's all
As others have asked, is there a link to donate?

It's not his. It's Me.

For the record I have insurance. There's a ton of things that insurance doesn't cover. I don't know anything about any subsidies. I did get a grant that helps pay for my chemo. The treatments are in the tens of thousands of dollars.

We ate through a substantial amount of savings in the first month. I don't know what ACA is so I can't speak on it.

So far we've been able to pay a percentage enough to satisfy ochsner's for each treatment. They've been very clear that the minute that we can't pay that they'll withhold treatment.

I'm not sure what you're attempting to do here but it doesn't look good.

It can't be stressed enough that prayer works and the more people praying the more powerful the prayers are.

Help less fortunate pay their premiums..nothing to do with coverage

What? That's Obamacare that "suposedly" covers all of this type of treatment...(at least I thought it did)

Trying to figure out why insurance doesn't pay for cancer treatment. Jot real sure why you think it's about anything else.

Ya know, you and I disagree on just about everything. Pretty sure we’ve even had some less than friendly exchanges over the years. But I really am sorry about what you’re going through, I’ve lost family to cancer and I really do sympathize w what you’re dealing with. From the bottom of my heart, frick cancer.

Best of luck w treatment/recovery, I really hope you’re back to full speed soon. God bless.

You don't seem very knowledgeable about insurance issues. Maybe you should ask your own insurance provider about catastrophic illness, their portion and yours.
This thread isn't the place to educate yourself on these issues

Hey Ben. I'm glad you've received some good news. I've been praying for you as well, both the Catholic prayers of my youth and my more recent eastern meditative prayers of compassion and acceptance. You've had candles (well technically incense in one case) lit in two major world religions my friend. And while cynics can deride anything beyond science, you and I both know the healing power of positive thinking and collective thought and prayer.

If you need some company I'll swing by one mid week afternoon or evening and introduce myself (I'm a middle aged tragically pear-shaped man) and we can plan a timed board mass attack on some of these pointy-headed , diaper-wearing Progtards. Especially the self -satisfied furburger that has down voted your posts .

My best to you Good Sir.

I'm very knowledgable..thanks I was being cordial. I'm not sure what type of coverage you have, so I asked very simplistic questions in an effort to possibly assist.

Sorry for your situation. I understand you not wanting to doscuss... but to be honest, in a thread about cancer, treatment, costs, and coverages....I think it's a great way for fellow posters, who are concerned about you and their loved ones, to find out there may be coverage gaps in their policies.
