Other countries standing for the anthem

Ive been watching the World Cup and America isn’t in it. But all these other countries players sing and stand for there countries anthem with pride. So are our athletes just pussies?

I've noticed that the world cup athletes, superstars in their countries sing the anthems as loudly as the fans in the stands. We are literally lucky to get ours to stand and they might occasionally move their lips, most are shuffling, looking down or mostly have a bored look about them. Seeing how proud these soccer players are of their countries makes me like soccer a lot more.

I hope this is all tongue in cheek, if not it shows how absolutely out of touch with reality y'all are.
Just off the top of my head:
Mexico - is so absolutely corrupt and riddled with crime they've had over 100 politicians murdered this year. Child and drug trafficking runs rampant, while the corrupt gov't gets paid off if not directly in on much of it.
Russia - not sure this even needs to be said, but any type of gov't dissent you better fear for your life.
Many of the Middle Eastern countries - any numerous amounts of state sponsored persecution against women and gays.
The African countries - speaks for themselves
Yet you see all of these players and fans at full attention for their national anthem singing loudly and proudly.
Americans are absolutely spoiled when it comes to freedom.
