re: Oregon sent 60 FireTrucks to Cali, they are being held in Sacramento for emissions testing

quote:Yes it does, and if you’re honest, you know it does. Why would the person falsely use emissions testing as the reason unless that reason is purposely provocative. If you were focusing on the “hold up” aspect, tell the truth and say it was needlessly held up for brake inspections if you believe that’s an issue. Lying about emissions testing is purposeful prevarication to advance a narrative.
Does it really matter if they were held for emissions testing or held for something like checking how much is left of the brake pads and psi of the tires? Either way, they were needlessly held up.

Then tell me it's safety and the drive could have caused issues. Um you did the inspection 385 miles and 5 hour 40 minute drive away from LA.
Does it matter?
Politics is playing out. Yes, the stupid lbgtq crap and DEI crap in the LAFD is pathetic... but there are other normal people at risk out there.
I'm not playing the DEI bullshite. That's been done the last several days. We know it's Californiz bullshite.
Move on to the real stuff.
I'm so tired of talking about leftist bullshite. I was happy to sort of talk seriously about NIMS and EM, but the board talks in talking points as usual just like the left does. Makes for crappy conversation.

The end result is still the same. The trucks were needlessly held up when they should have been out battling the fires.

Then why lie?
Fire trucks that could be used to battle one of the worst fires in L.A. history are being held up due to needless bureaucracy, and you’re concerned with what some random person on Twitter said.

Because theyre addicted to shitty talking points.
There are enough regulatory problems to blame California on without having to make stuff up.

From a person who has never in their life responded to anything.
Expert. Go offer your IC expertise. You know how this all should work apparently.
I'm really starting to hate this message board. And I'm probably one of the biggest Trump guys here.
You guys don't know when to turn off your bullshite.
I'm discussing this incident for the men and women in the field. I'm sick of talking about all the lesbians. We've done that plenty. Yeah thet sucked at their jobs. Well, we don't know if the ledbian Fire Chief was incompetent or lying about officials failing her. That conversation is over. On to the next thing.

I’m concerned with the intentional false premise of the OP.

I bet you think when the US sends military equipment and personnel to another area, theg do an initial inspection and then never do any more. Naw, military doesn't do any daily inspections of their equipment or guns in active duty combat situations do they....? Do you think before you speak at all?
Listen you sanctimonious prig, my Marine Corps MOS was artillery so I know a thing or two about maintaining operational weapons systems.
To maintain operational readiness of an artillery piece, the continuous cleaning of weapons systems, safety checks, etc… was done in down times to ensure the weapons were ready for live firing exercises or deployment in times of actual war.
These maintenance protocols involved maintaining accurate and detailed records to facilitate traceability of the continuous maintenance of the weapons systems.
These fire trucks from Oregon without doubt have been well maintained and likewise have extensive documentation of that maintenance.
In short, your further editing of your initial response is actually bolstering my point.
So thank you for that!

128 comments about preparation of Emergency Squads . And all that preparation is out of date the first 12 hours of being on the line.
I seem to remember some army general making the same observation

I don't know about the Cali/Oregon border, but at the Cali/Nevada border there's an agricultural checkpoint for all vehicles.
Do we have any proof that these fire trucks weren't simply delayed behind other vehicles waiting to get through the checkpoint? It's even possible the fire trucks were waived straight through without stopping.

So where they did it and why doesn't matter?

What did I edit exactly to bolster your point more? Be specific. You said I did. Tell me about it.
I usually edit grammatical errors or add or amend a comment to better communicate my point more clearly.
All the rest of what you said in your post is fluff and means nothing honestly. EM inspects in downtime too. Crazy world.
Would you like to continue to argue over some firetrucks?

Pretty good idea to give the trucks a once-over to make sure they are mechanically sound, because having one break down could cause more problems for the firefighters than not having it at all.
Yet, they were seemingly mechanically sound enough for the firefighters in Oregon to use them to fight fire in Oregon.

Did they not stop in Sacramento for the inspections?

I did, in simple language that a 5th grader could understand. Now, I can’t make you understand it. That is up to you!
