What are you not getting. If my friend wants to sell me a firearm for 500 cash and I buy that gun for 500 cash then I will never in my life be in trouble for that. As long as he is a friend and I stay legal. If you suggest otherwise then you are full of crap. I live in LA by the way.

Can you quote the statute that says a firearm purchase has to be between two people with a past and continuing friendship?

that is not the situation you described earlier. Earlier you stated that you would get a friend to commit a straw purchase for you.

How does a permit system make it any easier to stop people from making straw purchases?
