The county is also storing their belongings and providing free health care

The county must conduct clinical assessments of participants and provide food and storage for their belongings.

Californians are already paying some of the highest taxes in the country. I wonder how they feel knowing that their hard earned money is being taken from them to reward lawbreakers (illegally camping). I dont know the answer to homelessness, but I dont think its rewarding bad behavior and punishing good behavior (i.e. taking money from taxpayers for this).

Right. Can I take a vacation to California and get my meals and hotel paid for by claiming to be homeless? Or do I need to break a few laws first before I can be rewarded?

They DGAF. I know of and work with several IN OC and they are happy to give their money away. It's really incredible.

Why can't they at least put the able bodied to work like picking up trash on the side of the highways or something? I'm sure there are plenty of jobs that can be created for them to earn their room and board.

When you recognize that they are in a "war" against their fellow countrymen, then you will be able to wrap your brain around why they are cool with this and promote it.

This will NOT increase the homeless population and DECREASE property value.

Actually, if i'm a mayor w/ a homeless problem, i would be providing them w/ free one way bus tickets to Orange County. Do to them what Castro did to Carter.

Do you see this poor folks in the South?

You should all head to California immediately to take advantage of their generous social aid programs. I’m sure we can find some money to get you a one-way bus ticket.

As long as it’s Cali money paying for it and not Fed money. If it’s Cali money... put em in the ritz Carlton with 3 meals a day room service with a personal tailor, spa service, and yoga classes.

And then go back to the sheep and demand more money to pay for it.

The sheep here would gladly surrender their tax money and pay higher sales/property tax to ensure each and every one of them is taken care of.

The same sheep will also be the first ones crying that schools are terrible and roads are falling apart too, but they won't bother to put the two together.

Love to know what motels are being used. Can’t believe anyone would agree to turn their business into a flophouse.

That was outlawed years ago. We used to have deputies drop them off in other jurisdictions as a matter of common practice, but not anymore. Not sure what will become of this state, but I won't stick around to find out.
