In a trial don’t you get to confront your accuser? Seems like the Dems didn’t want a trial to me

You mean like me, who was a Never Trumper and now is 100% on the Trump Train because of the ridiculous OMB impeachment?

Nobody is going to care about this shite next week, much less on Election Day.

Don’t worry. There will be many other concocted outrages anyway.

Wrong. There were 18 witnesses. 17 witnesses had their testimony submitted for the trial.

I wonder why they didn't submit the other one...

Nevertheless, there have been lots of witnesses. So your statement is totally wrong.

Not partially wrong. I would grade your answer as zero.

Furthermore the Dems sent one of their useless subpoena letters to Bolton.

Then they withdrew their subpoena letter...

So even the Dems didn't want to hear from this guy...

I don't think you can spin this as anything other than a complete disaster for the Democrats.

Anyone just casually watching from a distance, given the severity of the action (success means removal from office), probably paid a little attention.

There was zero impartiality in the House, it was strictly along party lines. You'd think if the issue was that grave, ethically some Republicans would have gone along with it.
But anyway, they shoved it through and decided to impeach.

It then went to the Senate, which was supposed to simply evaluate the impeachment and decide whether to convict and remove the president, based on the impeachment.
Nothing NEW is supposed to come at this point, it's supposed to be basically an evaluation of the House's findings.

Nothing that was presented had any meat on it.

If I'm a casual guy not involved, I'm a little shocked and disgusted at the petty politics of this. Nothing resembling a crime has been exposed, it's a blatant "we don't like him and want to get rid of him" ploy. It's both arrogant, condenscending, and unethical.

It would make me leery of anyone remotely attached to this. I've got to think it's pushing people towards Trump, because he's the only alternative.
