"Electing Trump in grand fashion" doesn't mean you have to agree with whatever he says, whenever he says it, just because he says it.
Trump has no underlying consistency
Why was Chuck Schumer so pleased with the deal that Chip Roy and his company of idiots just handed him?

Chip and Tim have been in congress since 2019.
They’ve had their chance to lead and it didnt produce any results.
When was the first time, since 2019, the GOP has held the House, Senate, and Executive branch.
This coming year, 2025, is probably their first opportunity to lead.

Consistency can be used against you. How much spending cuts has Chip Roy and Tim Burchett’s “consistency” generated? What about their principles?
The answer is none.

They didnt lead the GOP to those majorities, do you know who did lead them there?
I’ll give you 3 guesses.

Not only do they do so, they get angry at anyone who doesn't. As though people should just do whatever the guy says regardless of whether it makes any sense or not or is consistent or anything.
Yeah, I have far less issue with Trump and his comments than I do the influencers and their minions here who interpret everything.

Rich, coming from you.
Trump was elected last time to build a wall. He tried. The GOP majority congress stymied him, even though they claimed they supported the issue. Trump was elected last time to reform or remove Obamacare. The GOP majority congress again got in the way, despite having claimed throughout Obama's administration that this was a major issue for them. Trump reformed trade policies the GOP helped put in place, even though they ran their mouth about trade. Trump initiated an aggressive trade policy against China which the GOP is fond of calling a threat, until you use the word "tariff".

Who fricking cares. If McCain or Romney would have won the Freedom Caucus would have been trying like hell to pull them both to the right. Just like they want to pull Trump to the right.

The word youre looking for is "Leadership" which is something Trump severely lacks.

What would it have taken to get their vote? Do you know?

Yes, they told him to pound sand, then he pounded them and passed the bill anyway. Only way out of this is bankruptcy or to grow out of it at this point.

We didn't elect congressmen to block his agenda.
Their constituents elected them to try to attack our spending problem, though.
They are beholden to their constituents, not a Presidential vote.

The word you're missing is "globalism" which is also something Trump lacks... and why he was elected.

So they keep electing ppl that do the exact opposite of what they elected them to do?
There are zero fiscally conservative Rs

Trump has no underlying consistency because he has no underlying principles. When the article says he is for a policy in one context and against it in another, it's 100% correct.
That's why, when asked to give specific policy preferences, it's been a big collective black hole since 2016.
The same as defining the terms they love to throw around so much.
That malleability is crucial for a political movement with no principles that will excuse any hypocrisy or failure as some part of a larger esoteric strategery.
