I don't really care about what Trump did, but from Twitter.
quote:
SPECIAL COUNSEL: How do we prove he knew they were classified?
FBI: He admits knowing they were classified on this taped conversation
SPECIAL COUNSEL: But how can we prove that he didn’t declassify them before he left office?
FBI: You’re not gonna believe this

I don’t care either and think this is all absurd but objectively that is hilarious

Are you naive, stupid, or a Democrat? Lots of crossover between those three, but just curious.

Btw what did Jared and Ivanka get that $2 billion for from the Saudis?
Its not difficult to look up unlike 'The Big Guy' Business you dirty dems hypocrite on daily
Affinity Partners
"Kushner's firm received commitments of more than $3 billion by the end of 2021 to invest in American and Israeli companies that are expanding in India, Africa, the Middle East and other parts of Asia. Investors include $2 billion from the Saudi public investment fund, with Kushner stating that he hopes to open an "investment corridor between Saudi Arabia and Israel",[1][2] seen internationally as a "sign of warming ties between two historic rivals".[3]
"The fund has invested in two undisclosed Israeli hi-tech companies.[8][2] The Wall Street Journal reported that "it is the first known instance that the Saudi Public Investment Fund’s cash will be directed to Israel, a sign of the kingdom’s increasing willingness to do business with the country."
In March 2022 Affinity executives heard pitches from 13 to 15 Israeli startups.[9]"
There was even a Dem led House committee that investigated any wrong doing on Kushner part and whaddya know.... NOTHING
Now your turn - The Big Guy Investment company - lets hear it

so what about all of those documents that Biden had hidden in his garage, he was the vice President when he took them. that's illegal right there. he can't take anything. but I guess it's ok because he is a democrat and we all know the laws are different for them

You’re 100% right but irrelevant legally as to Trump’s “case”

Is there some case law that states this means the PRA doesn’t extend to documents concerning national defense? That section can be applied pretty broadly. Like “welfare of the United States”. Do you have more authority than just the text of the Section?

Even declassified, he doesn't get to take military plans and nuclear secrets home as a parting gift to himself
A President can declassify anything. Period. The authority for any federal employee to classify/declassify flows directly from the Office of the President. As such, no one in the federal government has the authority to override a President's classification/declassification other than a succeeding President.
There used to be two classifications for Unclassified data: Unclassified-limited and Unclassified-unlimited. We can all agree on what the definition for the latter is, but the former would be things like Social Security numbers (as an example). Technology is often one of those things which falls under the "limited" category.
The difference between limited and unlimited is, basically, a level of authorization.
All such authorization, at least under the Executive Branch, flows from the Office of the President. As such, a President could indeed authorize the declassification and authorization of releasing any (or all) military plans and/or nuclear secrets.
If you disagree, please link proof of anything different backing your stance. If you can't find anything to support your beliefs then perhaps you should re-think them.
Did Trump declassify and deauthorize any of the information he had at Mar-a-Lago? I don't know (and neither do you). The bigger issue isn't if Trump did/didn't, but that others who didn't have that authority have taken and kept Classified (and higher) documents at their homes but none have faced anything close to what we've seen with the DOJ going after Trump.
If you don't see that as the major problem, you aren't looking closely enough.

Very convenient of them to all of a sudden say Trump is in violation of USC 793 when this all could have been avoided when Archives packed the boxes and sent them down to MAL. Setup?
How could it legitimately be anything but?

He doesn’t have to be. It’s his assertion that he declassified everything and the burden of proof is on prosecutors to prove he didn’t. Which they cant.

Talking about Trump and his "crimes." All you people are taking about how Trump can't wave his hand and say documents are declassified. I guess he should have been Vice President and have been the "Big Guy." Obviously what's good for the goose is not good for the gander. Be consistent. Trump is a horrible human being. Would I vote for him again? You're damn right. At least he likes America. Biden and his ilk is all about their income.

Might wanna double check on the statutes regulating declassification of nuclear information.
You could have posted them to prove your point.
I think this is a rehash of the "he took the nuclear codes with him". You know the codes that change everyday he has a code that has been changed 793 times since then, but hey the Germans and Pearl Harbor and all.

He had 2 documents containing nuke info about US and an ally.
Wanna bet?
I heard it was far more than two. But the document was actually an old CD cover with some song about 99 red balloons go by. Seriously that sounds like something they would indict him for knowing the real news will only appear four years from now just like muh russia.

Whoa, whoa whoa, Fun Bunch, here is where it comes off the rails......
and that has been interpreted to include classification,
Uh pray tell who has interpreted what and why must it be interpreted? The president's powers are simple and clear, once you start "interpreting" that might be where you were misguided just a wee bit.
