The best contrast of clinging to power is George Washington vs. Jill Biden.
Washington was offered to remain after his term. Some wanted to crown him king. He refused and retired.
OTOH, Jill Biden got high on the first lady life and lied her head off insisting Joe was not mentally retarded and was sharp as ever.
